Historia
Her voice enchants a nation. Their magick must break the spell. David and Jessica discover a politician whose rise to fame may not be all it seems. In a Britain teetering on the edge of economic collapse, Felerah Blackthorn's meteoric rise to political stardom seems almost magickal. Her voice captivates the masses, her words reshape reality, and her influence knows no bounds. As the nation falls under her spell, only two people can see through the veil of her enchantments: David and Jessica, witches sworn to protect the balance between magick and mundane.

Repetitive
Revisado: 04-12-25
The storyline was ponderous at times. And repetitive mentioning of people adjusting their bottoms to fit their seats or the bending of one’s knees and tucking their legs under their thighs was too redundant!

I love this series! The only negative-there was a span that seemed to bog down and drag along. I mustered through trying to glean info that i knew the author was trying to provide. After that, the story picked back up and resumed its adventure.

This has been my favorite of the series. I loved how with each life, Hattie’s outlook on life broadened. So descriptive of an era in my beloved grandmother’s time. Highly recommend this book and series!

You know you’re invisible when even your bullies forget to pick on you. That’s me, Bettina Blair, hidden in plain sight. No matter how hard I try I just never fit in with my classmates. Now I know why. I’m a witch...apparently. One little demon attack and my parents confess their ugly secret…and ship me off to an elite academy of magic—for witches only. I can't summon magic. I can't fight with my hands or my fists. I just don't belong here, and Jackson Lancaster keeps reminding me every single chance he gets. This boy is the most insufferable, intolerable, unbearable, judgmental person.

Generally entertaining

Con: the characters’ lips should be chapped and with all that gasping, oxygen should be on standby. If these endlessly repeated phrases had been whittled down to just a few, the storyline would flow more evenly. Overall, entertainingly adolescent.
