Historia
He’s not looking for trouble. All former spy and current national security agent York Newgate wants is to propose to the woman he loves, RJ Marshall. Then they can move to Shelly, Washington, and start the calm, safe life he’s been dreaming of for over a year. Too bad trouble doesn’t agree. Or maybe RJ simply attracts trouble because she’s just going out for coffee when she spots a wanted, known terrorist standing in the middle of a street in Paris. At least she thinks it’s international criminal Alan Martin. But he’s in jail, right? Wrong. Martin has escaped.

Great story-overacted
Revisado: 09-15-22
I almost put these aside at the very beginning because the guy reading it overreacted so badly. However, I really wanted to read the story, so I had to get myself to ignore him.
When he got into the story he did really well. Why did he have to overact every time he read a chapter? When he named the book at the beginning, it was so annoying I just had to laugh!
So… Ignore the over actor and listen to the story because it’s really good.

Historia
When RJ Marshall said she’d be right back, York should have objected. No, he wasn’t going to let her run off to Berlin, even if it was to save a little girl. Only problem—she’d told him this while he was unconscious. So really, it doesn’t count, and it’s not his fault that she’s gone missing. And he didn’t know why he expected RJ not to chase danger into trouble. But now he has to find her before criminal mastermind Alan Martin tracks her down.

Historia
RJ refuses to believe it, and until she has proof, she’s going to keep searching for answers. And most of all, for the man she loves, even if it means diving into the past he always wanted to keep secret. The kind of secrets that could have set York free. It’ll take a trip back to Russia, to the sketchy and dark history of York’s life, to find the clues to the sinister plans of a global terrorist. And the answers that might lead her to a happy ending. If RJ hopes to save her country, she’ll have to become the spy that she always dreamed of being.

Pretty Good Story
Revisado: 08-17-19
The story was pretty good, but ended up a little sappy at the end. I didn’t like the narrating it all. That didn’t help matters. It’s kind of like she was just reading a book, not performing the book.

Historia
This rape case is different from most: the victim is more than willing to testify and there's ample evidence to put the suspect behind bars. But one thing gnaws at Detective Larry Millsaps - young and beautiful Melissa Nelson knows too much about the evidence needed to convict her attacker. Millsaps's investigation unearths the suspect's brutal track record, but also some stunning revelations about Melissa's own past. Caught in a deadly conflict between the ironies of the law and the demands of his Christian convictions, the detective finds himself protecting Melissa - even as evidence mounts that could imprison not only an inhuman criminal, but also the woman Millsaps has come to love.

OK story / OK narration

The story wrapped up way too quickly. The characters were in love too quickly... Not realistic. One of the voices for the cop was redoculus.

This one had me the whole time. One of the best crime stories I have ever read. The performance was also very good. I especially enjoyed his portrayal of the character "PC".
I would definitely recommend this book!

Great Book - Narration not so great...

I really enjoyed the story, but the narrator was clearly just reading lines. Not done as well as some of the others I have listened to.
But... the narration isn't so bad that I won't listen again.. the book is too good for that!

Historia
When librarian Laura Griffith's 16-year-old sister disappears on a frigid February day, leaving only a brief note behind, Laura resolves to do whatever it takes to track down the runaway teen. That includes recruiting ATF agent turned PI James "Dev" Devlin to help. But the deeper he digs, the more he begins to suspect that something sinister is at work in the girl's disappearance. And the closer he gets to uncovering the truth, the clearer it becomes that the situation isn't just dangerous - it's deadly. Chilling and at times terrifying, Trapped is the latest thrilling listen from Irene Hannon, the queen of romantic suspense.

Historia
Charlotte Graham is at the center of the most famous kidnapping in Chicago history. The FBI and local cops found her two abductors, killed them, and rescued her, but it took four long years. The fact that she was found just three miles from her home, had been there the entire time, haunts them. She’s since changed her identity, found a profession she loves, and rebuilt her life. She’s never said a word — to the cops, to her doctors, to her family — about those four years.

Great Story!
Revisado: 01-07-14
I have read all of Dee Henderson's books. While it does annoy me a bit that she uses such perfect grammar because she is writing lines that a police officer would say, and they don't say things like, "I am going to the store 'via' the lake", or "'Nor' do I"... at least she stopped saying "cellular phone". lol!
Other than the grammar issue, she is a wonderful story teller and this is a really good one!
The narrator was good, but the voice he used for Paul Falcon was a bit goofy, so I only gave 4 stars on the performance. He did very well on everything else.

An OK Read
Revisado: 04-02-13
I am a fan of Dee Henderson, so I was a bit disappointed with this one.
It didn't keep my attention to the end like her other books.
I was very pleased at the beginning of the book when I found that the O'Malleys are in the book, but then it just fizzled from there.
It doesn't grab you to the end.
Not a bad story, but not a great one.
