Historia
In addition to being among the most celebrated of contemporary filmmakers, Quentin Tarantino is possibly the most joyously infectious movie lover alive. For years he has touted in interviews his eventual turn to writing books about films. Now, with Cinema Speculation, the time has come, and the results are everything his passionate fans—and all movie lovers—could have hoped for. Organized around key American films from the 1970s, all of which he first saw as a young moviegoer at the time, this book is as intellectually rigorous and insightful as it is rollicking and entertaining.

Wow!

Everything I was wishing for and more!
Hearing the author's account of his journey of viewing and critiquing Cinema gives the listener a new unique view of film appreciation. I've added all the titles I haven't seen to my viewing list.
I wish Quintin had narrated the whole book, but I guess we can't be greedy.
An easy five stars!

Great Read! Must read for any filmmaker!

I saw some of Shane Stanley's interviews on the film courage YouTube channel (also highly recommended) and wanted to hear more from him so I bought the Audiobook.
Usually when I listen to Audiobooks whole doing another task (dishes, laundry etc.. ) this book though I ended up sitting down and taking notes while listening.
This book manages to do a few things... On one hand it will scare the Bejesus out of you and probably convince you never to produce a movie in your life. But if you are crazy and dedicated enough to produce a film anyways than it will be an extremely useful tool in the process.
Either way it will be a thoroughly enlighting and enjoyable experience.
If you read this book and "producer to producer" you will have a great basic education in film production (which of course could never replace experience, but you have to start somewhere).
I wish it had a bit more detail on international filmmaking since a lot of us are not based in the U.S. Understandable though because Stanley is based in the U.S. and that is his Forte.
So as someone who has been to film school and learned plenty new things from this book, I can definitely recommend this read.
Thanks Stanley for this useful tool, can't wait for the next one.

Very little content
Revisado: 08-26-16
There was very little real content. Surely not enough to actually create courses, teach them and grow rich.
It seems that this book is either actually an infomercial for Danny's business selling a program to implement this, or a way for him to increase his credibility by saying he has published a book on this subject.
All the real content of the book could have been delivered in a tenth of the space. Or, better yet, I would have rather that he gave 10 times the info. For me, that would have increased his credibility and then I might have been willing to consider purchasing his way more expensive on line programs.
The book title,of course is cool. But this book has maybe 1% the information density and impact that Napolean Hills book had.
As it is, I'm disappointed.
