Historia
This book explains the historical roots of the conflict between Jews and Arabs, which has lost none of its explosiveness to the present day, in a comprehensive and easy-to-understand manner. The question of who owns the Holy Land is more relevant today than ever. The debates on this topic are often characterized by ignorance and strong emotions, while partiality and power interests still obscure the view on the political situation in the Middle East.

Inaccurate and made up Quran verses
Revisado: 07-07-24
I listened for a while and let him yap about The Quran so that I could learn new information along the way. However at one point he references Surah 24:56 and says “Allah has chosen the righteous believers (Muslims) to be the successor of the infidels (Jews) of the Holy Land.”
That’s literally not what the verse says in any translation or in any of my three Qurans, but you can Google it from false sources. He is spreading misinformation about The Quran to fit his narrative. I was looking for unbiased facts about this topic.
Finally, “infidels” in The Quran refer to Pagans in specific battles that went on during the oppression of Islam. Muslims recognize the Torah & Bible, they aren’t against Jews or Christians as we have the same God.
“Infidel” is translated from “Kafir” which refers to person who does not believe in God at all.

About three things I was certain. First, Edward was a vampire. Second, there was a part of him, and I didn't know how dominant that part might be, that thirsted for my blood. And third, I was unconditionally and irrevocably in love with him.

IM HOOKED
Revisado: 06-08-20
The narrator is great, I don’t know what these other reviews are talking about, she sounds like how I’d imagine Bella to sound like. I watched the movies before reading the books and I’m so hooked on the small details that the movie glanced over. Amazing!!! Can’t wait to start New Moon!!!!!

Historia
Tiffany can't avoid being funny: it's just who she is. But The Last Black Unicorn is so much more than a side-splittingly hilarious collection of essays - it's a memoir of the struggles of one woman who came from nothing and nowhere. A woman who was able to achieve her dreams by reveling in her pain and awkwardness, showing the world who she really is, and inspiring others through the power of laughter.

Historia
Bill Bryson once again proves himself to be an incomparable companion as he guides us through the human body - how it functions, its remarkable ability to heal itself, and (unfortunately) the ways it can fail. Full of extraordinary facts (your body made a million red blood cells since you started reading this) and irresistible Bryson-esque anecdotes, The Body will lead you to a deeper understanding of the miracle that is life in general and you in particular. As Bill Bryson writes, "We pass our existence within this wobble of flesh and yet take it almost entirely for granted."

This book is perfect, I am so sad that it’s over. Trevor’s performance is outstanding and the story is interesting, eye-opening, educational, and just beautiful. I cried at the end. I hope this guy has a beautiful life and deserves the World.

Historia
There are 168 hours in a week. This book is about where the time really goes, and how we can all use it better. It's an unquestioned truth of modern life: we are starved for time. With the rise of two-income families, extreme jobs, and 24/7 connectivity, life is so frenzied we can barely find time to breathe. We tell ourselves we'd like to read more, get to the gym regularly, try new hobbies, and accomplish all kinds of goals.

Privileged & Sheltered
Revisado: 08-20-19
This book is great if you are a stay at home Mom, self-employed, and make good money to hire peasants to do your housework because you somehow still don't have time to do your own laundry. I listened to this entire book just because of how hilariously sheltered and privileged the author is. There are few good tips in this book and I admire how deeply she thinks her writing is fact, by backing her claims with interviews from other people living the same lifestyle as her.

Historia
On the Clock takes us behind the scenes of the fastest-growing segment of the American workforce to understand the future of work in America - and its present. Until robots pack boxes, resolve billing issues, and make fast food, human beings supervised by AI will continue to get the job done. Guendelsberger shows us how workers went from being the most expensive element of production to the cheapest - and how low wage jobs have been remade to serve the ideals of efficiency, at the cost of humanity.
