Historia
This book is part memoir, history, exploration, and critique of the Jehovah's Witness religion. I was born and raised as a Jehovah's Witness. Eventually, I found myself shunned due to actions considered unacceptable by the leaders of the religion at the time. I lost everything except the shirt on my back and the shoes on my feet. I faced a series of personal setbacks as a result of being cut off from childhood friends and family.

Great Info, Pissed Off Storyteller
Revisado: 07-07-24
The information was great. The flow of the book worked and kept things interesting.
My only issue was the author would have been better off having someone else narrate the audiobook. His honest, yet distracting, emotional (angry) tone was not necessary to get the points across.

Historia
Over the course of his 60 years, Christopher Hitchens has been a citizen of both the United States and the United Kingdom. He has been both a socialist opposed to the war in Vietnam and a supporter of the U.S. war against Islamic extremism in Iraq. He has been both a foreign correspondent in some of the world's most dangerous places and a legendary bon vivant with an unquenchable thirst for alcohol and literature.

Hitched

This book is about as Hitch as you can get. I’m glad it was in his own voice.

This is the way to learn. Dr. Becky tackles enormous subjects and explains them so that most anyone can grasp and comprehend them with a smile.
