Historia
On his last combat deployment, Lt. Cmdr. James Reece's entire team was killed in an ambush that also claimed the lives of the aircrew sent in to rescue them. But when those dearest to him are murdered on the day of his homecoming, Reece discovers that this was not an act of war by a foreign enemy but a conspiracy that runs to the highest levels of government. Now, with no family and free from the military's command structure, Reece applies the lessons that he's learned in over a decade of constant warfare toward revenge.

Even better than the show!
Revisado: 10-21-22
I LOVED this book. I’m always a fan of SEAL stories and this did not disappoint. The narrator did a phenomenal job switching between different accents and dialects. I always knew who was talking because he had a different voice for each character. Better than the show and I love the perspective of the author. I don’t know how Carr managed to get published with the minor jabs at the Left but I’m thankful to finally have found a series I can really sink into. No eye rolls, no wokeness. Just good story telling. Finally. Thank you Jack Carr, for being a real life hero.

Historia
Not every danger comes in the form of a mega-threat like a Titan. Some predators are a lot cozier...more personal. When one such creature threatens an independent tutor, Harry Dresden must shake off the blood and dirt of his most recent battles and rise to the occasion, even when it turns out that the new predator is far more dangerous and connected than first appearances would suggest.

A worthy change of pace
Revisado: 07-07-22
I’ll start by stating that I am an uber Dresden fan and I’ve read all of the books at least 4 times now. This novella was a lot of fun. I enjoyed hearing the way that the story sounds in Jim’s mind. Well, except the way he did Bobs voice. I know that’s being picky, but it caused a major shift in that character and I wasn’t a fan.
I’m really glad that he wrote a shorter in-between book to answer so many of the questions we were left with at the end of Battleground. I feel like the next book is going to roll off this story and get right into it. I hope. Thank you Jim. You have created a word that is very precious to me!

Harry has faced terrible odds before. He has a long history of fighting enemies above his weight class. But this time it’s different. A being more powerful and dangerous on an order of magnitude beyond what the world has seen in a millennium is coming. And she’s bringing an army. The Last Titan has declared war on the city of Chicago and has come to subjugate humanity, obliterating any who stand in her way. Harry’s mission is simple but impossible: Save the city by killing a Titan.

Non-stop amazing
Revisado: 10-13-20
It’s no surprise that this was an incredible book. We all know, without doubt, that any new Dresden book will be an absolute winner. But Jim Butcher definitely managed to surprise me, over and over again, with plot twists and bombshells. I laughed out loud more times than I can count. I cried more tears than I care to admit. The non-stop action and suspense created an intense ride from the first page to the last. If you haven’t gotten to know Harry Copperfield Blackstone Dresden yet, do yourself a favor and start the series. I read about 100 books a year and The Dresden Files are the ones I look forward to most and enjoy above any other! Thank you to James Marsters who brought Harry Dresden to life for me. He masterfully performs every single line to perfection. The first couple of books in the series were a little rough because of dry mouth but audiobooks in general have gotten much better with that and now I couldn’t imagine anyone else being the voice of this beloved character.

This book CHANGED MY LIFE!!
Revisado: 05-24-17
I am so thankful for this book. I really do feel like Hal is my pal ;) but seriously, what is it about this book and this morning routine that is so flippin' magical? I have to admit, I was a total skeptic. First I thought "there's no way I could get up any earlier than what I am already doing. I don't get enough sleep as it is!" Then I thought, there's no way that getting up early and doing these few little things could make THAT much difference". I am shocked with how much my life has changed since I started doing my own miracle morning. Thank you Hal!

Historia
Debbie Ford explains that the dark side of our personality should not be hidden. By denying our dark side, we reject aspects of our true natures rather than giving ourselves the freedom to live authentically. Here she shows that it is possible to acknowledge and accept our so-called weaknesses, proving that these qualities may be hidden strengths. Full of illuminating stories and practical exercises, Debbie Ford shows us how to reconcile our darker impulses and find the gifts they offer.

This book truly changed my life!
Revisado: 04-17-17
By far the greatest self improvement book I have ever read. I can't thank the author, nor my dear friend who recommended this book to me, enough. This book truly has the power to change the person you are, or perhaps I should say, change the person you see and know!
