Historia
It was one of the most searing images of the twentieth century: two young boys, two princes, walking behind their mother’s coffin as the world watched in sorrow—and horror. As Princess Diana was laid to rest, billions wondered what Prince William and Prince Harry must be thinking and feeling—and how their lives would play out from that point on.

From the heart
Revisado: 01-14-23
Listening to Harry read what he had written about his life really helped connect with his emotions. He was open and the book was well written and he had clearly learned much about himself and how to express it from therapy. It gave quite a different picture than the hundreds of distorted and made up stories in the English tabloids.

Nothing like typical Sandford
Revisado: 07-11-14
What disappointed you about Uncaged?
The narrator is terrible. Sandford's other books have great narrators who improve the story line.
What was most disappointing about John Sandford and Michele Cook ’s story?
Since they are a married couple, I thought the book would have much of the type of story he writes, however this looks like a book she wrote and he put his name with her to sell it.
What didn’t you like about Tara Sands’s performance?
She is one of the most irritating readers I have listened to.
You didn’t love this book... but did it have any redeeming qualities?
The reader was so terrible that I didn't finish the book.

Amazing book for an author's first work
Revisado: 12-13-13
If you could sum up Red Sparrow in three words, what would they be?
Informative, well -written,
What does Jeremy Bobb bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
I always listen to mystery novels because I can both listen and do mindless or boring tasks. My husband and I also listen when traveling by car as the miles seem to go much more quickly. I visualize the story more when it is narrated.
Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
Sparrow school introduced a way of training a spy that I had never considered. It wasn't the extremes that made it interesting but the story was written so well and in a way that provided some many interesting details of the world of a spy and the CIA that it made it a great listen (of course, it is clear that the story didn't give away anything secret, but gave a window into the agency that a great backdrop,
Any additional comments?

Historia
Seth Hubbard is a wealthy man dying of lung cancer. He trusts no one. Before he hangs himself from a sycamore tree, Hubbard leaves a new, handwritten, will. It is an act that drags his adult children, his Black maid, and Jake into a conflict as riveting and dramatic as the murder trial that made Brigance one of Ford County's most notorious citizens, just three years earlier. The second will raises far more questions than it answers. Why would Hubbard leave nearly all of his fortune to his maid? Had chemotherapy and painkillers affected his ability to think clearly?

Grisham's best yet
Revisado: 11-15-13
If you could sum up Sycamore Row in three words, what would they be?
Interesting, dynamic, educational
Did the plot keep you on the edge of your seat? How?
Grisham has many unexpected changes and unexpected surprises as the story unfolds. He not only has an intriguing twists and turns, but his story gives numerous insights into the world of attorneys dealing with contested wills.
Which character – as performed by Michael Beck – was your favorite?
Jake Brigance continues to be appealing as a small town Mississippi lawyer. Continuing his life and practice after the events in A Time to Kill, Jake continues to fight racism as it was in Mississippi in the late 1980's. He is appealing as an attorney, and as a husband and father.
Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
There are parts of this story that are very powerful and touched me in a profound way.
Any additional comments?
I expect to see this novel as a movie in the future and it deserves to be.

Terrible reader
Revisado: 09-16-11
This book wasn???t for you, but who do you think might enjoy it more?
I made the mistake of assuming that Scott Brick would be the reader for this book, as he had for the others I had listened to. Bad mistake. This man was so bad I couldn't even listen to most of it. I love this series of books and have listened to most of them. This reader sounds like a regular person from next door who decided he could read novels...he can't.
Has The Third Option turned you off from other books in this genre?
No, the reader
How did the narrator detract from the book?
Yes, he was horrible
If you could play editor, what scene or scenes would you have cut from The Third Option?
Don't know because he was such a bad reader, I turned him off.

author has psychological insight
Revisado: 04-07-10
Very few authors understand the borderline/abusive wife/mother as well as the dynamics between an abusive husband and his wife. Tami Hoag presents both of these situations throughout this book and is right on. As a psychologist I commend this author for understanding and presenting these characters for the readers to understand.

Very interesting novel
Revisado: 06-06-04
The author, a psychiatrist, presents the thinking of the way the killer gets victims to trust him in a psychologically accurate format, unlike other author's. This makes this book not only interesting, but educational, as well. Highly recommend to readers who love mysteries.
