A Must Listen for the Grieving
- De Chris en 09-25-23
Amazing, funny, sad, and wonderful
Revisado: 10-13-23
Not enough is out there about the reality of grief and loss. Michael got real about his loss in a terribly sad and funny way. He talks about his family and his grief and shows a wonderful, healthy way to live with it. I laughed through my tears, that is my favorite emotion.

Wonderful

I have loved The Princess Bride from the beginning. Hearing the behind the scenes stories about bringing this movie to life makes me love it even more. Hearing the quotes read by most of the people that said them was a terrific touch. Just wonderful.

Historia
When Valerie Solanas moved to New York in the early-to-mid 1960s, she wanted nothing more than to become a writer. Within a few years, she approached perhaps the most admired—and reviled—artist in the United States, Andy Warhol, proposing that he produce her pipe-bomb of a comedy, Up Your Ass. Though promising at first, their relationship went south, and in 1968, Solanas walked into Warhol’s studio with the intention of shooting him dead. As you can probably tell from this summary alone, this episode contains language that may offend some listeners. Show notes and full transcripts ...

I have been charmed and delighted to find that the comments that have come in for this series have been sound, friendly, helpful and informed. In this final episode for this series, I’ve singled out one or two. Thank you for your questioning, your listening — go on searching, asking and wondering. Wondering in both senses: wondering by wanting to know and wondering by marvelling. And here’s to madmen, hermits, heretics, dreamers, rebels and sceptics. Hosted on Acast.
