Historia
The Bobiverse is a different place in the aftermath of the Starfleet War, and the days of the Bobs gathering in one big happy moot are far behind. There’s anti-Bob sentiment on multiple planets, the Skippies playing with an AI time bomb, and multiple Bobs just wanting to get away from it all. But it all pales compared to what Icarus and Daedalus discover on their 26,000-year journey to the center of the galaxy.

Historia
Here is the novel that will be forever considered a triumph of the imagination. Set on the desert planet Arrakis, Dune is the story of the boy Paul Atreides, who would become the mysterious man known as Maud'dib. He would avenge the traitorous plot against his noble family and would bring to fruition humankind's most ancient and unattainable dream.

Fantastic story, wretched narration.
Revisado: 04-24-24
Pick a voice actor to read a certain part and stick to it. This work had multiple actors reading the part of a single character in the space of a single conversation. One actor would voice a certain character in the beginning of a conversation, then another would voice that character in the middle of the conversation, and a third by the end. This happen throughout the entire narrative.
Still a fantastic story, well worth listening to. One of the best sci-fi novels ever written.

Poorly written tween romance novel
Revisado: 09-15-22
This was a fine series up to this point. I kept waiting for something interesting to happen in this one but finally gave up about half way through. If you’re into crappy tween romance novel where the romance seems forced an unrealistic, then this is a good choice for you.

Historia
Also known as Demons, The Possessed is a powerful socio-political novel about revolutionary ideas and the radicals behind them. It follows the career of Pyotr Stepanovich Verkhovensky, a political terrorist who leads a group of nihilists on a demonic quest for societal breakdown. They are consumed by their desires and ideals, and have surrendered themselves fully to the darkness of their "demons". This possession leads them to engulf a quiet provincial town and subject it to a storm of violence.

Disjointed random story.
Revisado: 08-24-22
I guess there is a central plot that shows up about two thirds the way through, but mostly it seems a disjointed assortment of random bits. The writing is excellent and the performance is too, but the story is lacking and boring.

Some parts of this were so horrible that I had to take it in small doses. If everyone would read this book, we would put an end to this farce in short order.

Revisado: 06-18-21
A poor follow up to book 7. Hands down the worst book in the series so far. I was extremely excited for this one after finishing 7, and it was a terrible let down. Very disappointing. Can’t win them all, I guess. One loser out of eight books is forgivable though.

Historia
The culture of “safety” and its intolerance of opposing viewpoints has left many young people anxious and unprepared for adult life. Lukianoff and Haidt offer a comprehensive set of reforms that will strengthen young people and institutions, allowing us all to reap the benefits of diversity, including viewpoint diversity. This is a book for anyone who is confused by what’s happening on college campuses today, or has children, or is concerned about the growing inability of Americans to live and work and cooperate across party lines.

Filled with half truths and outright lies.
Revisado: 05-03-19
As an example, I actually saw the interview of Lisa Durden on Tucker Carlson. The narrative presented in chapter 10 of this book demonstrates that the authors either didn't bother to watch the interview before writing about it or they deliberately twisted the narrative in an effort to justify Durden's extremely racist outburst. It is important to note, which the book didn't, that Dueden, a black woman, was fired by her all black superiors for her extreme racism. I quit at that point. Don't waste you money on this book.

Historia
America is in crisis, from the university to the workplace. Toxic ideas first spread by higher education have undermined humanistic values, fueled intolerance, and widened divisions in our larger culture. The Diversity Delusion argues that the root of this problem is the belief in America’s endemic racism and sexism, a belief that has engendered a metastasizing diversity bureaucracy in society and academia.

There's a near total blackout in the mainstream press about the situation on college campuses today. Yet it is one of the most serious problems in our civilization today. If we don't address this issue Western Civilization, which has brought unparalleled prosperity, is doomed. A must read for anyone who cares about the future.

Rothbard's posthumous masterpiece is the definitive book on the Progressives. It will soon be the must read study of this dreadful time in our past. (from the foreword by Judge Andrew P.
