Historia
T. Lobsang Rampa was preordained to be a Tibetan priest, a sign from the stars that could not be ignored. When he left his wealthy home to enter the monastery, his heart was filled with trepidation, with only a slight knowledge of the rigorous spiritual training and physical ordeal that awaited him. This is his story, a hauntingly beautiful and deeply inspiring journey of awakening within Chakpori Lamasery, the temple of Tibetan medicine.

So much to think about
Revisado: 09-28-18
The book is excellent. There is so much wisdom to ponder. I wish I heard it before I had to make major life decisions. It takes you on a journey of awakening and test your frameworks and world views. Brilliant.

Historia
In Thinking, Fast and Slow, Kahneman takes us on a ground-breaking tour of the mind and explains the two systems that drive the way we think and make choices. One system is fast, intuitive and emotional; the other is slower, more deliberative and more logical. Kahneman exposes the extraordinary capabilities-and also the faults and biases-of fast thinking and reveals the pervasive influence of intuitive impressions on our thoughts and behaviour.

Brilliant! Should be taught at schools
Revisado: 03-31-14
What did you love best about Thinking, Fast and Slow?
It's brilliant - complex concepts explained plainly with detail to underpin the conclusions
What was one of the most memorable moments of Thinking, Fast and Slow?
There are so many - The power of system 1 - especially that we are blind to our own blindness! That we think we will step in and help a stranger but we won't - that is quite scary.
What about Patrick Egan’s performance did you like?
He gave the book life! I didn't want to stop listening.
What’s an idea from the book that you will remember?
How gullible we are … we need to take responsibility for what we accept for truth and what we question - we need to question a lot more!

Have you ever...Invested time in something that, with hindsight, just wasn't worth it? Overpayed in an Ebay auction? Continued doing something you knew was bad for you? Sold stocks too late, or too early? Taken credit for success, but blamed failure on external circumstances? Backed the wrong horse? These are examples of cognitive biases, simple errors we all make in our day-to-day thinking.
