I loved this story. It gives the feeling of fear and hope, disgust and desire. Gives a call for action that makes me want to go plant flowers and set up some hives. The apocalypse may not be what we always thought it would be. It was great to see a strong FMC and I enjoyed the fact that she did deal with realistic doubts and fears. The MMC is one that invokes both love and hate. I am really interested in what will take place if be does ever complete his journey.
I would have loved to see this as a dual POV.
The narration was wonderful. The range between female and male voices was astounding. Blanca was able to convey the proper emotion into the thought and voices of each character as the story progressed. I would definitely listen to more narrations completed by her.

Not sure what I was expecting

Starting with the story line. When I heard dark Victorian romance I’m not sure what I was thinking but it was not this. It made for an interesting combination, but it was enjoyable.
The voice fit well and very much enjoyed listening.
