Very odd fixation on relationships

The series couple have been good. The main story, the background and all things that happen could make a story. I also like books with a faith based undercurrent. That said the inordinate amount of time spent on a very weird relationship between a husband, wife and another woman really ruined the book for me. If you wanted to make that point fine. Not my cup of tea but ok, but then for the love of everything move on. The reader is great.

Good book painful tactics

This book well worth the read. It’s good, clean and the interactions in the town seem realistic. The one thing I will say… is that listening to the tactics used was a little painful. That said we listened it on a trip as a family so we did get to discuss some alternative strategies. :)

Great ending to good series

I’ll miss Battle, the series is one of my favorites. I usually stick to ones that are a little more realistic, but something about this one kept me in all the way!

Another great one by Mark Goodwin

I have purchased all of Mark Goodwin’s post apocalyptic books. This series is just as good as the rest. If you haven’t read all his other books I would strongly recommend them. Mark Goodwin does a good job of telling a potential future in his novels without all the cussing and unnecessary language. He does it in such a way that the picture of what may come is vivid to the readers. Keep up the good work! Glemboski does an amazing job as well!

Amazing! Right out of the headlines!

Mark, this is another great one! I have read all your books most more than once. I love your uncompromising position on how what we believe as Christians will be forced to collide with what’s to come. This book could easily be the the history for a near tomorrow. I can’t wait for the next volume. One last thing, once again you have picked the perfect reader for your book. As an avid Audible listener, that’s so important. I’m never disappointed with a Goodwin book!

Not the author’s best but good

I did really enjoy this series, and the previous series written by the author. He has other books written on financial collapse and various other dystopian apocalyptic topics that are all fantastic. Unfortunately, this particular one did not have the same appeal as the previous novels. That said it was a good finish to a great series. I look forward to this next book.
