Historia
On June 1, 1996, John and Joyce Edmonds purchased a ranch in Rainbow Valley, Arizona. What has ensued for the past two-plus decades beguiles all concepts of our reality. After 23 years, John has finally told his whole story. The story of Stardust Ranch transcends its geography, and John and Joyce Edmonds themselves. It becomes a story for the human race at a very important time in our journey as a people on this planet.

A boomers take
Revisado: 11-05-23
I got this on audiobook for the stories but instead got a few stories (10%) but got a boomer soap boxing (90%) about his Q-Anon type conspiracy theories. If that’s your thing you’ll love this book. For me total fiction made up by a boomer who claims to kill aliens with a samurai sword

Historia
Of the many books on UFOs and aliens, this one may be unique. Richard Dolan, one of the world’s leading historians of the UFO subject, has analyzed the different alien types and agendas based on longstanding patterns observed by witnesses. This is both a careful review of the best evidence we have of human-alien interaction, as well as a bold speculation of just who the aliens are and what they want. Dolan’s analysis starts with our ancient prehistory and potential genetic modifications and monitoring by extraterrestrials.

I was fine with most of this book until he went full Qanon right at the end. Pure paranoid delusions. I guess if you’re into that sort of thing you’d enjoy this book.

Historia
American Exceptionalism and American Innocence examines the stories we’re told that lead us to think that the U.S. is a force for good in the world, regardless of slavery, the genocide of indigenous people, and the more than a century’s worth of imperialist war that the U.S. has wrought on the planet. Roberto Sirvent and Danny Haiphong detail just what Captain America’s shield tells us about the pretensions of U.S. foreign policy, how Angelina Jolie and Bill Gates engage in humanitarian imperialism, and more.

Thorough and uncompromising
Revisado: 09-15-20
While some may object to Sirvent’s and Haiphong’s findings, the historical and empirical evidence is both academic and critical of our current sociopolitical state. I think it’s imperative that the concept of American Exceptionalism be critiqued and exposed for the deceptive qualities it imbues, but I’m biased.

Historia
In 2016, a small protest encampment at the Standing Rock Reservation in North Dakota, initially established to block construction of the Dakota Access oil pipeline, grew to be the largest Indigenous protest movement in the 21st century. Water Protectors knew this battle for native sovereignty had already been fought many times before, and that, even after the encampment was gone, their anti-colonial struggle would continue. Our History Is the Future is at once a work of history, a manifesto, and an intergenerational story of resistance.

Excellent review of Native resistance
Revisado: 06-23-20
Estes has long been a voice for his people’s struggle against imperialism in the US against native people. This book takes a look through the lens of a long history of native resistance against the US governments campaign against The Standing Rock people from the era of colonialism, to Custer, to the #nodapl movement. Thorough and bold. Highly recommend

Historia
It has been 20 years since the publication of How to Defend Yourself Against Alien Abduction by Ann Druffel. This new book by UFO researcher Kathleen Marden is the handbook for this generation. It is the essential reference guide for those who have experienced contact with nonhuman intelligent entities, families and friends of those "experiencers," and anyone interested in alien abduction/contact and UFOs. Wide-ranging, informative, and helpful, this is a book that will find a place as an essential component of anyone fascinated by visitations from other worlds.

Not what I thought it would be
Revisado: 06-23-20
I’ve read Kathleen Marden’s other books and I was impressed with their thoroughness and relative objectivity (as objective as a UFO book can be that is). So, when I saw this one I assumed it would be just as good but it turned out to be full of assumptions itself! First, the narrative rambles from one topic to another with increasing absurdity and presumption about all manner of “woo”. I picked it up because I love the topic of ufos and alien abductions but as it turns out this book is more about all paranormal effects. Well produced and narrated.

Dolores Cannon's work in hypnosis has taken the study beyond abduction. Dolores traces the phenomenon from the simple to the complex. Exploring areas untouched by other investigators, she makes the unbelievable become acceptable and understandable! The audiobook includes investigations through hypnotherapy of suspected alien abduction cases and 12 years of UFO extraterrestrial research dating from 1986 to 1998 conducted by Dolores Cannon.

Whole lotta Woo
Revisado: 05-20-20
If you’re into the new age angle of the whole UFO/alien contact thing you’ll like this book. Entertaining till some the voice actors over indulge in fake accents and weird phrasing. I would have enjoyed this more had it not been for this problem. I had to skip over huge portions of this audiobook because I’m simply couldn’t stand the voice of certain actors.

Intriguing and surprising
Revisado: 05-28-19
While this book primarily takes a larger view of the paranormal and supernatural I enjoyed the stories he shares about his personal experiences at Point Pleasant. I was intrigued by his candid and objective perspective of matters seemingly out of this world and surprised by his conclusions. This was my first John Keel books and I will be reading more of his work because of it.

Historia
In This Changes Everything Naomi Klein argues that climate change isn’t just another issue to be neatly filed between taxes and health care. It’s an alarm that calls us to fix an economic system that is already failing us in many ways. Klein meticulously builds the case for how massively reducing our greenhouse emissions is our best chance to simultaneously reduce gaping inequalities, re-imagine our broken democracies, and rebuild our gutted local economies.

Historia
Is there a single intelligent force behind all religious, occult, and UFO phenomena? Strange manifestations have haunted humans since prehistoric times. Beams of light, voices from the heavens, the "little people", gods and devils, ghosts and monsters, and UFOs have all had a prominent place in our history and legends. In this dark work, John Keel explores these phenomena, and in doing so reveals the shocking truth about our present position and future destiny in the cosmic scheme of things.

Keel views come to light
Revisado: 05-28-19
Sarcastic and sardonic, Keel berates ufologists, religious nuts, and all manner of believers in favor for his his theories about the super spectrum. He’s views on the future are strikingly accurate in some regards, but still he’s theories about humans being biological robots offer something just as ridiculous and outrageous as little green men and big foot. I like the devil theory angle, but I waffle at his determinist ideas about human existence.

Historia
The witnesses are legion, scattered across the world and dotted through history, people who looked up and saw something impossible lighting up the night sky. What those objects were, where they came from, and who - or what - might be inside them is the subject of fierce debate and equally fierce mockery, so that most who glimpsed them came to wish they hadn't. Most, but not everyone.

Yawn
Revisado: 04-19-19
For a book that comes with the massive claims that Tom Delonge brings the story/stories are contrived and cliche. Jammed in between are classic ufo/alien abduction stories for no known reason. Spoiler! The UFOs and aliens are Nazis and Russians.
Yikes!
I guess I was hoping for something more creative than a subpar Micheal Crichton copy but with UFOs story. As for the supposed “truth” the X-Files did it first.
