Historia
On Eos, the last survivors of the Long Winter face their greatest challenge yet - and race to unravel the deepest secrets of the grid. The last survivors of the human race escaped a ruined Earth. Their new homeworld - Eos - seemed perfect at first. Warm. Hospitable. Safe from the grid. But everything isn't as it seems. The first colony of settlers - from the Carthage - have disappeared. Their settlement is still there, but everyone is gone. As James digs into the mystery of the lost colony, he discovers a series of spheres, buried on Eos.

Awesome story
Revisado: 11-17-19
I somewhat expected parts to play out as the book played out, but there were some drastic unexpected, yet amazing twists that explain everything. Can’t wait for the next A.G. Riddle series.

Historia
The ice is coming. It was the last thing we expected, but the world is freezing. A new ice age has dawned. Billions have fled the glaciers. A cataclysmic war is coming. In orbit, a group of scientists are running the Winter Experiments, a last-ditch attempt to understand why the planet is cooling. None of the climate models they build make sense. But then they discover an anomaly, an unexplained variation in solar radiation...and something else. Close to the burning edge of the sun, they catch a fleeting glimpse of something that shouldn’t be there....

I felt title and genre was misleading.

Another excellent forward thinking book
Revisado: 03-17-19
As with his other works, A.G. Riddle kept me listening to this work as it alternated between the two protagonists. I figured a great deal of James’ secrets, before they were revealed, but the big secret, I should have figured out, but didn’t. Emma was an amazingly strong female protagonist.

Historia
In 2014's The Accidental Superpower, geopolitical strategist Peter Zeihan made the case that geographic, demographic, and energy trends were unravelling the global system. Zeihan takes the story a step further in The Absent Superpower, mapping out the threats and opportunities as the world descends into disorder.

Superb book on future of geopolitics
Revisado: 12-07-18
I watched several of his talks on YouTube, but this book goes further in depth on what is in store. The overall depth is amazing, but heavy on numbers and spatial thinking required means don’t listen while driving in heavy traffic. I also suggest the book, so you can see all graphs.
I cannot wait for November 2019 for his next book.

Historia
On a world brought to the brink of destruction, life now clings to the shattered remains of the planet's crust. These fragments are the Shells: fragile wastelands of desert and rock, protected from the cold of space by a water shield. In the struggle for survival, its people have depended on ancient technology, controlled by the omnipresent Network, to sustain the entire population. But the Network is breaking down, water is sparse, and a complete societal collapse is imminent.

Excellent FIRST Book - Amazing story
Revisado: 09-15-17
This is just the first book, the second is called Fall. It has not been published yet.
The story telling is amazing a scribe is gathering the viewpoints of two individuals and trying to tell a narrative of events that will save society. The end of the story is a cliffhanger for the second book. The included appendix of the first interview with Quentin shows how crazy he really is.
Please support this author, this is Brian Guthrie's first book, to bring out more amazing books that continue this story. You will enjoy the ride.

The Brimstone Angel's performance is exquisite
Revisado: 03-29-16
Farideh continues to move to the beat of her own drum in Cormyr despite the influences of the many nobles that take careful stock of her abilities. Lots of great interaction with Dahl that truly becomes better as the story moves along, even better Tiamat shows up in an unexpected way.
