Historia
Young Claudio has fallen for the lovely heiress Hero, who also loves him. Their path to the altar looks smooth, until the evil Don John intervenes. All ends happily, thanks to his incompetent assassins and the lucky discoveries of the bungling constable Dogberry. Central to the play, one of Shakespeare's best-loved comedies, are Beatrice and Benedick, masters of wit and sworn foes to marriage - until a plot is hatched to bring them together.

Dissatisfied
Revisado: 04-08-22
Much Ado about Nothing is by far my absolute favorite play by Shakespeare. I was really looking forward to hearing this since I have never met a rendition that I didn’t like… Until this one. Very disappointing.

Historia
From executive producers of The Walking Dead and Travis Beacham, the writer of Pacific Rim, comes a heart-stopping Audible Original featuring a brilliant British cast. It’s the near future and seven years since a comet hit the earth and blotted out the sun. The world is a dark, frozen landscape. And then, beastly creatures emerge and take over. A story of apocalypse, horror, and adventure, Impact Winter is a wholly original new saga created just for Audible with immersive 3D audio that dares you to pop in your earbuds and listen in the dark.

Not for kids
Revisado: 04-07-22
Storyline is interesting and it’s well produced… I really only have 2 issues with it. There is a lot of profanity in this book, and I mean a lot! Given the language and the mature themes, I would not let a child listen to this. I didn’t even want to listen to it before I went to bed, because I didn’t want bad dreams. The only other issue I had is rather minor and that is there are 30 minutes worth of credits at the end. Easy enough to skip the last 30 minutes so it’s not a big deal and there’s probably legal reasons that they had to give the credits for every single episode instead of just once for the entire story, still annoying.

Loved it
Revisado: 07-11-21
Pretty sure I have listened to all of Christopher’s stories, and I have loved all of the long ones, including this one. Jennifer Hale did a fantastic job. Personally, I don’t care for foul language, but given the characters and the situations, I felt like the foul language was kept close to minimum in most of the characters, which I appreciated, although I would’ve preferred it to be nonexistent… That wasn’t going to happen in this kind of story though. I read and listen to a lot of books and they rarely ever surprise me. This book had some surprises even for me, so kudos to you Mr. Paolini that rarely ever happens!

Lacks dialogue
Revisado: 12-30-19
This book is described as being like Twilight, and the 90,000 foot level, I agree. That said while I found Twilight to be hilarious and engaging, This book didn’t make me laugh or cry, not even once. I felt no emotional attachment to the characters, plot, or book. About the only emotion I had was rolling my eyes as the teens started making out, again. I feel like there were some really great opportunities for witty banter in this book, but it just wasn’t there. Hopefully the second book will be better, but if it’s anything like this one, I won’t lose any sleep over not getting to read the unpublished third book.

Historia
At the age of 22, Jennifer Worth left her comfortable home to move into a convent and become a midwife in postwar London’s East End slums. The colorful characters she met while delivering babies all over London - from the plucky, warm-hearted nuns with whom she lived to the woman with 24 children who couldn't speak English to the prostitutes and dockers of the city’s seedier side - illuminate a fascinating time in history.

Best reader I have heard thus far
Revisado: 03-16-19
It’s a moving piece but I think the reader is what really brings this story life.
