Historia
Olivia Prior has grown up in Merilance School for Girls, and all she has of her past is her mother’s journal—which seems to unravel into madness. Then, a letter invites Olivia to come home to Gallant. Yet when Olivia arrives, no one is expecting her. But Olivia is not about to leave the first place that feels like home; it doesn’t matter if her cousin Matthew is hostile, or if she sees half-formed ghouls haunting the hallways.

Great Literature
Revisado: 03-04-24
Some books are just books. Some stories are just stories. But this is true literature. The writing is polished and professional as well as beautiful and natural. It is a gloomy story that manages to not be depressing.
The performance was fantastic, and the entire experience was a pleasure.

Historia
After nearly winning the eleventh iteration of Rabbits, the mysterious alternate reality game so vast it uses the entire world as its canvas, Emily Connors suddenly finds herself trapped in a dimensional stream where the game does not exist. At all. Except . . . why do sinister figures show up to stop her every time she goes looking? Does Rabbits truly not exist, or is it being hidden? And if it’s being hidden, why—and by whom?

Terry Miles's Writing Never Fails
Revisado: 02-08-24
As with the first book in the series, I immensely enjoyed this story. There is enough realism to be believable and enough science fiction to tickle the mind. The story keeps a great pace and always leaves you wanting more.
The performance was also impeccable. For some audiobooks I am kept constantly second guessing the narrator's choices of inflection, pacing, voicing, etc., but not for this book or series. The narrator performs well and allows the listener to remain fully immersed.

Historia
Roshar is a world of stone and storms. Uncanny tempests of incredible power sweep across the rocky terrain so frequently that they have shaped ecology and civilization alike. Animals hide in shells, trees pull in branches, and grass retracts into the soilless ground. Cities are built only where the topography offers shelter. It has been centuries since the fall of the 10 consecrated orders known as the Knights Radiant, but their Shardblades and Shardplate remain: mystical swords and suits of armor.

This. Book. Is. Amazing.
Revisado: 01-13-18
The Way of Kings is one of the most engaging stories I've ever read. The masterful tapestry that Sanderson weaves is entertaining, inspiring, emotional, and relatable.
His exploration of these alternative sciences and universes he has created is detailed and will thought out enough as to be very believable.
The performance of the story is impeccable. There are no vocal ticks or quirks of pronunciation to distract from the immersion of the listener. The acting is genuine, believable, and the readers different character voices are well defined.
Great read.
