Historia
Riverbend, Texas, doesn’t look like the crossroads of anywhere. But for four high school besties reuniting after twenty years, it’s a place to unpack a lot of baggage. Risa’s headed for divorce, Mary Nell’s been kicked to the curb by her leech of a boyfriend, and Haley was just blindsided by a shocking family secret. But restless army veteran Jessica Callaway, looking to plant roots, has an idea: corral her fellow former cheerleaders and renovate an abandoned church smack-dab in the middle of three dry counties into a bar.

Comfy, easy listen.

This is a sweet story written so easily that it induces exactly zero anxiety. I’ve been having a really hard time lately, and really enjoyed how uplifting and easy this story was. A welcome break from domestic thrillers, intense dramas, and hardcore romance.

APPLAUSE 👏👏👏
Revisado: 05-17-22
Barbara O’Neal seems to have the best narrators. Their performance is ALWAYS captivating. This is a wonderful story of choices, consequences, forgiveness, pain, healing, second chances, and some real life issues brought up in a thoughtful way. Beautifully written & told.

Historia
Josie Bianci was killed years ago on a train during a terrorist attack. Gone forever. It’s what her sister, Kit, an ER doctor in Santa Cruz, has always believed. Yet all it takes is a few heart-wrenching seconds to upend Kit’s world. Live coverage of a club fire in Auckland has captured the image of a woman stumbling through the smoke and debris. Her resemblance to Josie is unbelievable. And unmistakable. With it comes a flood of emotions - grief, loss, and anger - that Kit finally has a chance to put to rest: by finding the sister who’s been living a lie.

LOVE
Revisado: 10-24-21
I randomly came across Dan on tiktok of all places. I came straight to audible to listen, and got my husband to listen too. My husband went through a wild divorce, so we got some relatable laughs from a couple of the stories, and parts downright triggered him. We love the bravery in writing this, and hope it brought some relief to get the truth out there. It’s hard living every day, knowing what really happened, and hearing through grapevines what the ex has to say. Court sucks, and it’s broken. I feel relieved that someone finally said it. Not gonna lie, I hope to God their was something in the settlement about it being final, and “Erin” doesn’t see one dime from this book.
