Historia
A reluctant ex-spy with demons of her own, Elinor finds herself facing down one of the most dangerous organized crime gangs in London, ultimately exposing corruption from Scotland Yard to the highest levels of government. The private, quiet “Miss White" as Elinor is known, lives in a village in rural Kent, England, and to her fellow villagers seems something of an enigma. Well she might, as Elinor occupies a "grace and favor" property, a rare privilege offered to faithful servants of the Crown for services to the nation.

I was pleasantly surprised
Revisado: 05-22-23
I think I was expecting something similar to Masie Dobbs and didn’t get it—so glad. Not that I didn’t devour the series. But this is a story filled with history, suspense, pathos and values that our world would do well to embrace.

Historia
A movie director is charged with murdering an actress during sex, and then staging her death to make it look like a suicide. In a seemingly unrelated case, a loner is murdered, leaving the sheriff's department with no clues. One unsettling revelation after another leaves a retired FBI agent and an L.A. detective thinking they've unmasked a most frightening killer with almost inconceivable calculation.

Not my favorite narrator
Revisado: 09-25-21
Davidson is too gravelly voiced to be a believable Harry Bosch. I’m only continuing to listen because I love the twists and turns of Connellys stories

Historia
Only God knew why Jillian Slater agreed to return to New Orleans on the news that her father had finally drunk himself to death. It's not like they were close. She hadn't seen him - or her grandmother, the ice queen - in almost 20 years. But when Adella Atwater, the manager of her grandmother's apartment house, called and said her expenses would be paid if she'd fly in for the burial, a free trip to New Orleans was too intriguing to resist.

So disappointed
Revisado: 09-05-19
I am a fan of Beth Moore’s Bible studies and her videos so I was excited to see that she had also undertaken a novel. But I couldn’t even finish the book. It was unimaginative and trite. Thankful however that it wasn’t full of ”Christianeze”. What were editors thinking??i hope she will try again with better results
