I really like CTG. His storytelling voice is captivating. I have read three of his books now and I genuinely like all three. This book just like the others leaves me with a sense of self, as I am currently on my own journey of self discovery and development. When I was a young girl I ran away from my father , probably my only regret in life , so because of that I didn’t get the guidance I needed from a male figure. I kinda just had to figure it out. So when a man I feel with purpose speaks I listen not only with my ears but my heart . CTG has spoke so much life into me since I started listening. So thank you CTG.

Okay, but not what I expected either.

Let me start by saying I do honestly feel bad for her. I read her first book thinking she had come up , especially 10 years later , but no she actually stayed the same. I do understand her mindset; abandoned ,looking for love ,validation and intimacy from Everyone from her mother to her baby daddy to Wayne and Bow and then finally “ Aeron” . This woman needs some serious therapy. My heart goes out to her son because she never understood how she too was an abuser to her own son. Not physically but very much so emotionally and mentally. But how can you blame her she doesn’t know how to help her dam self. You can tell she is looking for all things previous mentioned by the way she responds when a man and a man only shows her some sort of affection which in reality is none of that. She is only use to lies an manipulation so she can’t hear anything else. Like when a person really cares for you as Bow seemed to. The sad part is she talks of no one being there for her due to her relationship with her abuser. Little do they know they too played part; they made her issues worst by abandoning her all over again. The cycle continues and will continue and only gets worse until she and SHE alone breaks it. Karrine honey if you ever read this I hope by now you have had better relationships with men and have gotten help for your trauma. Wishing you the best.

She talks a lot about others in the beginning to the point where I no longer was interested. She then goes into her own life and career path.

Just not what I was looking for. I wanted to hearmore about how to reinvent myself not listen to others or hers about how they did.

Great Read!

As a black woman on a current journey of building herself to become her higher self, I’ll tell you that this book is a phenomenal , metaphorical , funny read. Kevin Heart is one of my top 5 business men and he didn’t disappoint. This will enlighten you to understand inner self and motivate you to strive for nothing but the best version of you! Well done Mr. Hart.

I absolutely admire this woman. I relate to her in so many different ways. She inspires me to do better, be better and hustle harder. This was a great read. If you need some inspiration to keep going for your dreams this will do it! She talks more about her life and how she got to where she is but if you are a visionary you'll know what to do with the gems that are given!

This book right here, Omg! It help me dig up my higher self that had been buried for so long. I had been reaching for that girl and now woman for years. It made me ask myself “So, what you gonna do about it?!” The next thing I knew I was on my way to Ga. and now a writer and licensed Realtor!

This was a good book actually. I didn't think I was going to get through all of it but I did. The narrators voice was great for this book. I like the way he changed his voice for Tyrese and Rev Run. It made it easy to understand and differentiate the difference between their views and opinions.

Charlamagne has always been a force to be reckoned with. He is unapologetic about who he is and where he comes from. I didn’t expect this book to be so beautifully told and written. It’s engaging and uplifting. He really tells his story well. It left me feeling indifferent but in good way. Let’s just say it made me put some fire under my a$$.
