This was my favorite book in the series! I could hardly put it down and was sad to have it end, but hopeful that Ms Palmer continues to add more books to the series!

The Best of Hutchison!

This is the best of Barry Hutchison’s writing! Great characters that will grab your heart, twist your mind and make you laugh! I liked it better than his space Odyssey and I listened to all of them. Don’t hesitate - listen to it now! I can’t wait for the next book to come out. Hurry up Barry, get that creative mind moving in right fast!

Job Ryan does it again!

I bought this Audible book because I LOVE the narrator, Scott Aiello, even though I thought the story of a billions year old AI was seriously far fetched.
Don’t get me wrong, I had enjoyed the Audible series, the Forever, by Craig Robertson, very much! However, I held off buying the first book in this series…Because an AI BILLIONS of years old?! Come on! Really?! No Robot dementia or Alzheimer’s from rust and corrosion??
I have no idea how his books read as I’ve only listened to Craig Robertson’s books on Audible. I am 72 and have had (sadly) eye problems for the last couple of years, and have listened to hundreds of books, mostly
SF.
Okay! Once I bought the first book, listened to about 30 min, I quickly bought the 2nd and 3rd. Damn! I’m hooked! I wonder which Jon Ryan adventure series is next? Does anyone know?

Entertaining

I am 72 and have been reading various types of sci-fi, since I was about eight years old, …so like forever! I found that as I have gotten older I enjoy more lighthearted, and funny science-fiction. there is enough sadness and bad stuff in our reality. Mr. Hutchinson‘s books are funny, yet have enough seriousness and interesting plots to carry me on from one book to the next, That said,
his narrator is terrific! As we all know, if the narrator is bad, it doesn’t matter how good the story is you won’t finish it! So, great job and I look forward to listening to more of Mr. Hutchinson‘s books!

A good Story, but…

I enjoyed the story line, but found the narratorreading it disconnected with emphasis at the wrong times, and felt it was not read with continuity. At times, I found myself having to push myself to listen to it. That said, it was the storyline that kept me going. It would have been much more enjoyable had it been read with much more continuity.

Worth listening to!

I rarely listen to space adventures written by women. Suzanne Palmer had definitely changed my mind. On to Ferguss’ next adventure!
