Great!!
Revisado: 04-12-24
What a great story. It’s one of those books and series that you read to rekindle the love of great fantasy and escapism. I thought when I started, I read that this would be a conclusion. So that’s my only disappointment. But yay to the fact that there will be more eventually.

Historia
There are no happily ever afters in the new Undead World. There are no vacations or time-outs or do-overs. There's only the endless daily grind of living or the shockingly horrific fact of death that hangs over every living creature left on the face of the earth. For some, that death lies in a single mistake or a moment of bad luck, or simply in fate. For others, that hard death hounds them day and night, relentlessly.

Three times speed
Revisado: 01-18-18
I enjoy somebodies zombified stories chronicling the end of the world as we know it. But in this ragtag band of survivors, when the 7 year old is the only one that is capable of solving dilemmas. And when everyone is stuck and they start lamenting that they are not able to think like the precociously brilliant adolescent...I guess my suspension of disbelief can only go so far. Three and half times speed? Would have been better.

I would read it again
Revisado: 07-10-17
I really enjoyed it. It was not my typical epic Fantasy OR space opera SciFi, but the development of the character and places was very appealing. I consider it an interesting hybrid of Follet's Pillars of the Earth and Weber's Safehold Series. I would read this again.

I kept on waiting for the story
Revisado: 05-26-15
I typically enjoy his work, but for me this read more like a technical journal than a true story. Sorry, I really wanted to like it but instead ended up fast forwarding the last 10 hours. I think this would have been a better story to read the hard copy.

Historia
Only a handful of people in the world know that mankind's magic comes from a living creature, and it is a refugee from another universe. The Power showed up here in the 1850s because it was running from something. Now it is 1933, and the Power's hiding place has been discovered by a killer. It is a predator that eats magic and leaves destroyed worlds in its wake. Earth is next. Former private eye Jake Sullivan knows the score. The problem is, hardly anyone believes him.

I was extremely satisfied!
Revisado: 03-26-15
This is a review of the series. The three books are clearly a single story arc divided into three big chapters. Each chapter installing that desire to turn the pages faster to get to a very satisfying end. As with all such satisfying reads, I did not want it to end. But end it did and if there are no more, that is probably for the best since I am unsure how Mr Correira could make the series even better.

A quick and fun read. There is enough here to make me want to continue reading the series. I think that is a testament in itself - that there is some entertainment value here.

I like this Author!
Revisado: 09-23-12
This is the third book from Suarez, and it continues to be a pleasure. I like the fact that he is able to produce stand alone novels that are able to set the stage, draw me and leave me wanting more by the time I get to the final page. I will continue to look for more from this author in the future. Great Read!

A Book that Made Me a Better Person

My Favourite SHOW of all time.
Revisado: 09-23-12
I was very attracted to the idea of reading the book. I am writing this at a point where I am just halfway through. I am enjoying the core story where the focus is on the central characters. However, the history associated with the story (giving us great context) is often a bit too unrelated for my current attention span. So I currently have mixed feelings about this classic. I do not regret reading this, but I have to admit that I have not listened to every single word.

Historia
Atticus O’Sullivan, last of the Druids, lives peacefully in Arizona, running an occult bookshop and shape-shifting in his spare time to hunt with his Irish wolfhound. His neighbors and customers think that this handsome, tattooed Irish dude is about twenty-one years old - when in actuality, he’s twenty-one centuries old. Not to mention: He draws his power from the earth, possesses a sharp wit, and wields an even sharper magical sword known as Fragarach, the Answerer. Unfortunately, a very angry Celtic god wants that sword, and he’s hounded Atticus for centuries....

For Fans of Harry Dresden - this is a sure winner!
Revisado: 04-05-12
I really enjoy the action packed and witty nature of the Harry Dresden novels. I found the style of this book very similar. For those of you who who wander how your pragmatic dog might react when faced with Witches, Gods, Vampires and Ghouls - Oberon (the Druid's dog) gives a grreat impression. Despite my comparison to Dresden, the Iron Druid definitely stands out as an unique series. I would recommend probably reading the entire Dresden series and then coming to this, as you might confuse some of the back story. I look forward to reading some more adventures of Iron Druid.

Revisado: 03-30-12
Another Dresden book that spirits me away from the real world during my commute. Very easy to come back and the single character perspective makes this a very easy read.
