Often times, I feel like I should stay in my lane and not be so scattered with my interests. This book made me understand the benefits to making time to learn things outside of your field of work. It will create the opportunity for intersections to meet and solutions to be found. I’d recommend this to anyone who has recently pivoted or is interested in pivoting their career or focus.

What makes Cam tick

I can relate to Cam in a lot of ways but he never really explains what makes him tick. I get it, he wants to leave nothing on the table and become the best hunter he can be, but why? Cams father not being around for his childhood affected him deeply. Why did he not make it a goal to spend more time with his own family. It sounds more like he ran from the pain, literally. Cam comes off as a victim when he talks about how he doesn’t have any natural athletic abilities but he talks about his dads almost Olympic level poll vaulting, one of his sons that’s an all-state basketball player and the other holds a pull-up world record. Don’t you think genes are involved there? I have a lot of respect for Cam so I expected more out of this book.
