I enjoyed the banter. The plot was fun and flirty without being overly cheesy. Now the character building was my favorite part. Each character grew throughout the story. The diverse cast also kept you interested but did not detract you from the story.

Danielle Allen is a fantastic writer. The way she builds characters is relatable, intriguing, and exciting.
Aliyah is a powerful FMC! Even with her doubts about her future, she still fought to be loved as she was. Her best friends were the kind is women that I want in my life. Supportive, honest, and entertaining.
Ahmad was written so well. The build up of his attraction to Aliyah was just right. His character was sexy, funny, sarcastic, and protective from the start. He had his eyes on the prize.
I can't wait to read more books from Danielle Allen.
