Great Historical Perspective

I really enjoyed learning more about the women involved in the art and history of this area I call home. They were intrepid, creative, determined, and inspiring, and they overcame so much to achieve their dreams. I’m going to read it now for better enjoyment as the narrator wasn’t great.

The description was interesting, but the story is weak. The narrator’s voice was irritating to the point that I slowed down the speed to .85 just to get through it. I think this was meant for teens.

I thoroughly enjoyed this wonderful story. It was eye opening, offering a different insight into desegregation and life in the late 1950s in Alabama. The narrator is perfect!
