Dark Peril Audiolibro Por Christine Feehan arte de portada

Awesome!!!

5 out of 5 stars

Revisado: 10-04-10

I have always loved Christine Feehan's books, some more than others. This story of Dominic and Solange has to be one of the more recent favorites. I love the stories of the Jaguar people and knowing how Solange felt about men in prior books, I was anxious to see how she would have her story unfold. I think it is a great story, more romantic even than some in the past. And I LOVE the way Natalie Ross and Phil Gigante read for this book. I think it very interesting how they use the voice modulator to differentiate the mind to mind talk as apposed to the speaking out loud. Mr. Gigante does a wonderful job with the Carpathian language, where a lot of readers probably wouldn't even attempt it. Bravo.......I hope that they are used for more books in the future. Their voices compliment each other perfectly!!! In my opinion..........

Sherrilyn Kenyon still going strong!!

Just when a lot thought that with Acheron, the series of the Dark-Hunters would end, but oh were we wrong!!! I love the turn these books are taking. I did find that there were less love scenes in this book but a lot was implied instead of spoken and I still felt the passion of Dev and Sam through out the book. I can't wait for the next installment and have to wonder who it will be about...........I do have my ideas from subtle hints in the book. Personally.....I think it was a great book and once again love Holter Graham, I just wish these narrators would get a prep sheet, as it were, from the author on name pronunciation of people and places and the different languages spoken (even if it is made up). I guess this is a subject I would need to take up with the publisher. Again.....this is only MY opinion.

I want more!!! Larissa Ione ROCKS!!!!

Total

Revisado: 10-01-10

I started reading Larissa Ione just recently and I have to saw, she really know how to grab a sci-fi, fantasy addict!!! I love this whole series and am hoping that the rest of this series will end up on Audible. Sooner rather than later.!! The stories in the Demonica series (Sin Undone) really make me think....why not a demon hospital with hunky werewolf and dhampir, (rare cross between a werewolf and a vampire) as EMTs? Audible would really do good to get the others of this series (that are out on audio, just not on Audible).
I also like Sydney Croft which is Larissa Ione and Stephanie Tyler writing together. The comfort zone was pushed a little with some of those.....but I got over that real fast.....Great stories all.

Christine Feehan at her best!!

This is my favorite of the Drake Sisters books, followed by Joley's story. This is another author who creates a world (and town) I would love to live in. Sea Haven is so perfect, where everyone looks out for everyone else and what a great law enforcement team, Jonas and Jackson, WOW!! I love Jonas and Hannah and that Jonas loves her NO MATTER WHAT!! Great love story without being too corny. Alyssa Bresnahan was, in my opinion, the perfect choice for the narrator as well. Thank you Ms. Feehan for bringing us another winner and thank you Audible for having her books!!

I am so very happy that Nalini Singh has been put on Audible. I really enjoy her books. To me, they are always so well thought out and a total surprise when I get to the end and think I have it all figured out.......but don't.She writes worlds that I wish I were a part of. I am hoping to see her Psy/Changeling series on Audible SOON (PLEASE)!!

Cute story!

This was a cute vampire story and I was intrigued enough to buy the next in the series, "Still Sucks.....". Different from your normal vampire book, no bloody feedings etc., just a girl in High School trying to deal with everyday teen issues when the parental units drop the bomb. To be.....or not to be a vampire. Like she doesn't have enough junk in her life, Mina must make the big choice. Had a few good one liners and was funny at times. Hope you enjoy it too.

Another Winner!!

I really enjoy the fact that Lara Adrian has taken the vampire story and put her own very creative twist to it. I have read the whole series and was really pleased to see it on Audible. In my opinion, Ms. Adrian has a cleaver imagination and I hope the rest of the series makes it to audio (and soon)!!! I loved the story of Elise and Tegan when I read it, and I wasn't disappointed at all when I listed to it. I do like Hillary Huber's narration and hope to see (or should I say hear) her back on future reads.

Great start for Nick's saga!!

Revisado: 06-20-10

I really loved this book and was surprised really. I will watch zombie movies IE: Resident Evil, however I had no desire to read about them. That being said, I am a huge fan of Sherrilyn Kenyon so I trusted her and took a chance and she has changed my mind, at least in Nick's saga. I had so many questions about Nick and didn't like what she did to him in the Dark Hunter books. I see now, she had a plan all along on what she was doing with Nick's character. I know this review sounds kind of weird, but I don't want to give anything away for those who haven't read this book or the Dark Hunter books. All I can say is, trust the master of this series and the DH series. She has it all worked out and if you love Sherrilyn Kenyon's work, you will not be disappointed!! I can't wait for the next installment in Nick's story!!GREAT BOOK!!!

Good but could have been better

Total
4 out of 5 stars

Revisado: 05-19-10

Let me start by saying I love Gena Showalter, and giving this 4 stars is so hard for me. I feel like I have just insulted a Goddess or slapped the Queen. From what I can tell, this was read off of the original ebook that was released a while ago and I was expecting it to be the same as it was when published in the book Into The Dark. When I email Gena about this, she told me that there was a word limit to the ebook and that she had lengthened the stories in Into The Dark which had no word count. Author's have no say as to which version is released on audio, I believe that is the publisher's choice. This would have been a lot better if the longer version had been done on audio, but that is only my opinion. The story is still very good.

This story starts where Vampire's Bride, book 4 in the Atlantis series leaves off. This novella features Zane, a vampire warrior and his hope to be love, Nola, a Amazon soldier.

Awesome Book!!!

I love this series and was so glad to see Shadow Game, which is book 1 in the GhostWalker series, was finally picked up for audio. Shadow Game sets up the whole series about Doctor Peter Whitney who experiments on men to make the perfect commando team that can work together, talk to each other without speaking, have paranormal powers like being able to make guards look the other way, blending in with the background and control over animals. They also have super hearing and can see in the dark. When Dr Lily Whitney, Dr Peter Whitney's daughter, who also has the same type of powers as the men, is brought in on the project, she wonders if her father is a genius or a madman. Of course there is a love story as well that will blow your mind.

The narrator, Tom Stechschulte, is a brilliant choice for this series. He has a different voice for each of the GhostWalkers (the team of men in this series), and having listened to the other books in this series, he keeps the voices true to each character, in each book. Awesome!!

Christine Feehan is such a good author and I always have a hard time waiting for her next book to come out, no matter which series it is in. I really loved this book and will listen to it again and again.
