I love the series. This was the most interesting book yet. The character development continues to get better. He can’t go wrong with Luke Daniels narrating, there’s simply no one better. John on!

Historia
In 2016, the morning after Valentine's Day, Luke's son passed away from breathing issues complicated by congenital birth defects. He was 21 months old. And his name was Finnegan. This kind of loss is terrifyingly huge and scary, but the love and light in this story far outweigh the tragedy. Through comic-book metaphors, Shakespeare references, and lilting Irish brogues, Luke tells the story of his too-short time with Finn. This is his tribute to storytelling, parenthood, and his rosy-cheeked, blue-eyed baby boy.

A truly touching and uplifting journey.
Revisado: 09-12-20
I have been enjoying the immeasurable talent that is Luke Daniels audiobook narration for a decade. I started with the Iron Druid Chronicles and have found many great authors all the way to Hunter Blain, only by looking for the works of Luke. He has occassionaly got me through some sub-par books, simply because he makes them a better experience. I regularly enjoy his live readings on Facebook.
Having said all of that, I never imagined he was capable of writing something like this. I was intitally hesitant to listen. Like Luke, I am a father of a son and daughter. I often have nightmares centered on my kids that give me anxiety that is a tiny peak at the Hell Luke had to live. I was worried what to expect in Unspoken. I can only say Luke made this a journey with him. I was blown away by his candor. He managed to sprinkle in his humor often. A really great listen.
God Bless you Luke. I know you will see Finn again.

Together, they have the holy mission of doing God’s will by protecting this plane from the nefarious evil that seeks the end of times. After centuries of feeding on mortal blood, if John’s blackened soul can get a little bleaching at the same time, well, all the better.

You meet the most interesting men in medieval prisons. This one time, I met a guy who offered me immortality for the low, low price of changing my diet. I didn’t read the fine print. Because, he wasn’t talking about a gluten-free diet. More like hemoglobin-full. And now, I’m a friggin’ vampire with five centuries of pop culture references.

Historia
In the beginning, John was given the choice to avenge his family or die alongside them. He made his decision and has been seeking redemption ever since. Is it possible for a vampire, who has done unspeakable deeds, to change his inherent nature enough to go to Heaven once he takes the big sleep? As if by divine intervention, our witty anti-hero stumbles across his potential salvation in the form of Father Thomes Philseep. Only problem is the holy man has been battling evil entities, like John, his entire life.

Historia
United Nations Special Operations Command sent an elite expeditionary force of soldiers and pilots out on a simple recon mission, and somehow along the way they sparked an alien civil war. Now the not-at-all-merry band of pirates is in desperate trouble, again. Their stolen alien starship is falling apart, thousands of light years from home. The ancient alien AI they nicknamed Skippy is apparently dead, and even if they can by some miracle revive him, he might never be the same.

M is a magician of modest wit, dim ability, and few scruples, who would prefer to spend his easy immortality drinking artisanal beer and making eyes at smiling women. Alas, in the infinite nexus of the universe that is New York City, equilibrium is no easy thing to maintain. Canal pirates, drug-induced divinities, pocket steam-punk universes, hipster zombies, ex-girlfriends, and the devil are all taken in easy stride.

Historia
Thanks to his relationship with the ancient Druid Atticus O'Sullivan, Oberon the Irish wolfhound knows trouble when he smells it - and furthermore, he knows he can handle it. When he discovers that a prizewinning poodle has been abducted in Eugene, Oregon, he learns that it's part of a rash of hound abductions all over the Pacific Northwest. Since the police aren't too worried about dogs they assume have run away, Oberon knows it's up to him to track down those hounds and reunite them with their humans. For justice! And gravy!

Revisado: 10-02-16
I am a huge Hearne and Daniels fan. But this was awesome. Well written, great characters, and the best narrator in this business. My only complaint is that it went so quickly. I know that sounds stupid since it was a novella, but I wanted it to keep going!!

Knowledge is power. That would be the motto of Lander University, had it not been snatched up and used to death by others long before the school was founded. For while Lander offers a full range of courses to nearly all students, it also offers a small number of specialty classes to a very select few. Lander is home to the Hero Certification Program, a curriculum designed to develop students with superhuman capabilities, commonly known as Supers, into official Heroes.
