Disappointed…
Revisado: 11-12-23
Love, love, plover Grisham … & couldn’t wait for this book … the “Firm” was so captivating & so many flips & turns … I just knew this one was going to be that or better … I waited for the plot to change & Mitch would figure a way that the money would be tricked from the bad guys not getting the money.. they would have the girl & the bad guys would find out to late that they had been tricked … o’ we’ll … I’ll not give up on the writer that has given me many hours of spence & in the end enjoyment …

Historia
Harmony House is more than a “special place for special people.” It’s a think tank where high-functioning autistic savants harness their unique abilities for the benefit of society. Resident Eddie Parks’s contribution: an “echo box” that can re-create never-recorded sounds using acoustic archeology. All Eddie wants is to hear his late mother’s voice. But what he’s created is inadvertently posing a threat to national security. To Harmony House’s shadowy government backers and radical extremists, the echo box is the ultimate intelligence asset - an end to the very concept of secrecy.

I listen to this story with great anticipation of learning how these souls thought of the people/birth parents giving them away... what their take is on those who adopted them... at the age of 17 I was raped & was forced to give the baby up for adoption... we have just found each other after 57 years ... these stories were very helpful & enlightening in an odd way .., I really got a lot from their stories... a good listen

Historia
Beloved former ABC 20/20 anchor Elizabeth Vargas reveals her alcohol addiction and anxiety disorder in a shockingly honest and emotional memoir. From the moment she uttered the brave and honest words, "I am an alcoholic," to interviewer George Stephanopoulos, Elizabeth Vargas began writing her story, as her experiences were still raw. Now, in Between Breaths, Vargas discusses her accounts of growing up with anxiety—which began suddenly at the age of six when her father served in Vietnam.

I have watched Elizabeth on the news for years....I fealt that she really allowed us the readers to get to know who she really is....I feel she was very open and allowed the reader an understanding of what it means to be and deal with alcoholism.... I would suggest that those who read her book will b a little more tender will those going through this path.....r

Another good book written by Mr Grisham.... I can see this one being made into an other movie.... He keeps U trying to figure out what happen to make the main character act & do what he did.... & why it was so important to him to go to the extreme that he did....another southern based story... which allows us to see another way of looking at life... yet leaving us with questions... why.....
