originally i only got this to get one of the badges, but OMG these stories were epic! i see why they're legendary! The author is great, narration is Impeccable (Fry's American voices are kinda funny though). I couldn't get enough of Sherlock and Watson. 10/10

Historia
With the invention of printing, reading books moved from being an act performed only by priests and aristocrats into an individual, even private activity. This change helped spark the Renaissance, the Reformation, the Enlightenment and the Industrial Revolution - in which punctuation played a crucial role. As long as texts were read out loud by only an educated elite there was no need for punctuation to mark pauses, full stops or questions.

Fascinating story, passionate author
Revisado: 04-23-23
History of punctuation is something that's I never would've thought to care about, but the author makes you interested in the story he's telling. You can tell that he's passionate about the rules of written language (especially commas), and has done his research very well.

Shocking
Revisado: 12-04-22
I did not think I was going to enjoy this as much as I did. I've never really had an interest in cell biology, but i was hooked on every word in this book. The authors use of metaphors paints a clear (and sometimes morbid) image that perfectly fits the subject. The narrator also did such an amazing job of bringing this book to life. I got this book because a YouTuber recommended it, and now here I am recommending it to all my friends with any interest in knowledge about what it means to be human.

Historia
Harry Potter has never even heard of Hogwarts when the letters start dropping on the doormat at number four, Privet Drive. Addressed in green ink on yellowish parchment with a purple seal, they are swiftly confiscated by his grisly aunt and uncle. Then, on Harry's eleventh birthday, a great beetle-eyed giant of a man called Rubeus Hagrid bursts in with some astonishing news: Harry Potter is a wizard, and he has a place at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. An incredible adventure is about to begin!

Historia
With intelligence and wit, author Jonathan Clements blends documentary and storytelling styles to connect the past, present, and future of Japan, and in broad yet detailed strokes reveals a country of paradoxes: a modern nation steeped in ancient traditions; a democracy with an emperor as head of state; a famously safe society built on 108 volcanoes resting on the world's most active earthquake zone; a fast-paced urban and technologically advanced country whose land consists predominantly of mountains and forests.
