At an early point in his yacht delivery, career, Capt. Bob Ventura had become painfully aware of the dangers and possible pitfalls of pursuing yacht deliveries in the dangerous waters of the Caribbean during the 70s and 80s. He began moving boats to South America at a time when the Columbian cartels had a commanding and very dangerous presence in parts of the Caribbean, but the thrill of danger and adventure overpowered any misgivings he may have had.
