Historia
With the object of his most recent quest stolen out from under him, Rorke has been left for dead in the treacherous Nightlands: a place hateful to all surface-dwellers, full of things the human - even the elfin - eye has never seen. Gray-faced berich dwarves, frightful half-spider misshapens - and, of course, the sensual and dark-complexioned durrow elves, a race of power-hungry women who live in service to the goddess Roserpine.

Hits a lot of my favorite things.

I’m a big Drow fan and especially like how this strongly followed their matriarch society. The protagonist being a Paladin was also very enjoyable.

Iskandar Khayon now is one of my favorite 40k characters. Sometimes these 40k novels drag and drag but I loved this one quite a lot. Mr. Keeble was fantastic as always!

Not as good as the earlier books.
Revisado: 05-05-21
This one just seemed to drag on forever with little appeal. I didn’t mind the new narrator initially and enjoyed it by the end but Grayson will always be Luke Daniels in my mind. Though I am curious to hear his version of Falon.
I’m not sure if it was from a lack of prior story members making an appearance or what. I hope he does continue the series as I still enjoy it more than his newer one.
It’s one of the very few books I’ve listened to multiple times all the way through.

Historia
The daughter of a Legion war hero, fighting was in Andien Broxin's blood. But the battles Republic marines face on strange and alien worlds are a far cry from the vaunted, brutal, no-holds-barred conflicts fought at the edge of the galaxy by the elite legionnaires. Until a devastating war erupts right in the Republic’s stellar backyard. Newly stationed on a mid-core planet being harassed by terrorist revolutionaries, Andien and her fellow “hullbusters” find themselves right in the middle of a desperate fight for survival.

Really enjoyed this, felt a little G.I. Jane spin from the House of Reason. I can't wait to delve into a fil size novel with her character becoming a Leej!

Wish it were longer.
Revisado: 02-06-18
I enjoyed it quite a bit but was expecting something else entirely. I'm relatively new to the series but I think this short story is a window for expansion of more potentially longer chapters that could detail what exactly this young Ace was doing all the time she was on her own. Possibly detailing her rank ascension?
I hope it doesn't end here.

Historia
The year is 2108, and the North American Commonwealth is bursting at the seams. For welfare rats like Andrew Grayson, there are only two ways out of the crime-ridden and filthy welfare tenements: You can hope to win the lottery and draw a ticket on a colony ship settling off-world...or you can join the service. With the colony lottery a pipe dream, Andrew chooses to enlist in the armed forces for a shot at real food, a retirement bonus, and maybe a ticket off Earth.

Historia
While Spartans get all the glory, no soldier - not even the legendary Master Chief - wins a war on his own. Gunnery Sergeant Edward Buck and his team of Orbital Drop Shock Troopers (ODSTs) played a major role in saving the Earth from all-out invasion at the end of the Covenant War - acts of bravery and ingenuity that did not go unnoticed by the United Nations Space Command.
