Historical fiction at its finest. Learned much about Italian struggles during WWII. Excellent story of life during that time.

Historia
Bennie Rosato, Mary DiNunzio, Judy Carrier, and Anne Murphy are back with all cylinders firing in Accused. Mary Dinuzio has just been promoted to partner and is about to take on her most unusual case yet, brought to the firm by a thirteen-year-old genius with a penchant for beekeeping. Allegra Gardner's sister Fiona was murdered six years ago, and it seemed like an open-and-shut case: the accused, Lonnie Stall, was seen fleeing the scene; his blood was on Fiona and her blood was on him; most damningly, Lonnie Stall pleaded guilty.

Enticing story
Revisado: 01-24-17
This book was very well written I enjoyed the light humor, and also the lack of heavy sex scenes, which serve only to take up space. The narrator was spot on with her characters, and the beautiful Southern accent added greatly to the storytelling and listening enjoyment. .

Reader Review
Revisado: 02-10-16
The reader's character voices are very clipped, to the point of irritation. Otherwise, great story.

Devil's Claw
Revisado: 07-14-15
The only thing that I had a small problem with was the voice of some of the characters. The voices were read in a very clipped manner, which made listening quite irritating on the ear.

Why we think it’s a great listen: Seabiscuit was a runaway success, and Hillenbrand’s done it again with another true-life account about beating unbelievable odds. On a May afternoon in 1943, an Army Air Forces bomber crashed into the Pacific Ocean and disappeared, leaving only a spray of debris and a slick of oil, gasoline, and blood. Then, on the ocean surface, a face appeared....

amazing strength
Revisado: 01-05-15
Almost impossible to believe someone could undergo such heinous cruelty, and come back alive. Just as fascinating was the post-war struggle to rebuild his life, and his extraordinary gift to the world following his path to Christ. This should be a must read for high school students, but I fear because it deals with Christian renewal, it will never be offered. Actually, my most memorabe moment was when he sat with his brother, Pete, during Pete's last moments. What a tribute to two loving brothers.
