I am a fan, but this set was hard to get into. The characters seem kind of dense, in the sense of not very clever.

This is such a good story, and the narration is great as well. I remember this from my childhood and it brings back some of the wonder I had in fantasy novels.

Missed a chapter?

It seems like something was missing from when they went into the underdark and were all of a sudden prisoners of the giants on the island. Maybe the narrator missed a chapter or the author didn’t feel like including it, but it was a little disappointing. Still a good story though.

Narrator has a few issues

The story is mostly good except for a few annoying things about the characters being a bit slow. The narrator seems to go in and out and really needs to say the dialogue in a different speech pattern, the other be she uses is extremely annoying. Also she seems to mispronounce pretty basic words quite a lot.

I was disappointed when I finished all of the good Dragonlance books until I found these. I had always meant to read them, just never got to it. The narrator is very good and easy to hear and understand as well.

Is there anything you would change about this book?
I think the story is good, but the reading, especially Tasslehoff's voice is very strange. His voice is supposed to be high, and quick, the reader makes him sound like a sick frog.
