Simply a complete marketing book
Revisado: 08-13-12
One of the best marketing books I have read (listened). As a commercial real estate agent and business broker I would not hesitate in recommending this book to anyone of my (business owner) clients.
If you are starting or looking to improving your business sales with only one book you cant go too wrong with this one.

Find your business niche market
Revisado: 05-14-12
What did you love best about The Tipping Point?
Well written with great real life examples of how real trends and business opportunities are created.
What other book might you compare The Tipping Point to and why?
I have read many business books. Many talk about finding new business opportunities but I have not read anything which clearly describes the principles of market trends like this book.
What about Malcolm Gladwell’s performance did you like?
The diversity of real life examples. Who would have thought that Aids, New York crime statistics and footwear have so many things in common.
Any additional comments?
Anyone in business (or thinking of buying a business or selling a business) looking for the next big trend should read this book. As a Commercial Real Estate agent and business broker specialising in Leisure Property and Business I can see how many of my clients who have restaurants, cafes, motels, hotels and resorts can all benefit from reading this book. eg what is the new food menu trend, what style of bars are going to grow, which type of customer should you target for your resort and more importantly how to use your resources and imagination to find these trends. This book shows that there is generally much more money to be made finding the new niche market rather than simply copying the opposition.I have already started to recommend this book to my clients and colleagues.

Historia
In an audiobook that challenges everything you thought you knew, W. Chan Kim and Renee Mauborgne assert that tomorrow's leading companies will succeed, not by battling their rivals for market share in the bloody "red ocean" of a shrinking profit pool, but by creating "blue oceans" of untapped new market spaces ripe for growth.

Creating your niche market and make more money
Revisado: 12-12-11
Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?
I would recommend this book to anyone looking to get into business or stuck in the stereo type mentality most businesses are in. If you want to move forward you must stand out from the crowd and create a reason for people to buy or use your services.
What other book might you compare Blue Ocean Strategy to and why?
There are many books out there that touch upon this subject but fail to get into the detail and give many practical examples of how to create their own blue ocean.
What about Grover Gardner’s performance did you like?
I liked the way that the way that Grover Gardner has covered as many areas and businesses as possible from the most basic to the more complex. Even the most basic looking industries in overcrowded and declining markets with a bit of imagination can find their blue ocean. Grover explains that you don't have to reduce your prices and margins to achieve this. He confirms the theory that most people do not buy goods or services based on price.
Any additional comments?
As a commercial real estate agent and business broker my blue ocean is Leisure property/business. I am in the process of creating a new web site and business plan for the new year. This book has given me many ideas which I am planning to implement.
