Very enjoyable listen

I probably should have started this series from the beginning, as it would have helped me connect the characters better, but it was an interesting listen. Definitely a lot going on in all corners. Jennifer Pickens has a very easy voice to listen to, and I thought she was a good choice to narrate.

I’ve not ever listened to fantasy before, and I was pleasantly surprised. The story kept my interest, and had some good twists in it. The narrator did a really nice job with the story and her characters were convincing.

Most Enjoyable!

Each story in this box set is a nice continuation of the main character’s storyline interwoven into an interesting variety of murders for each book. I’ve never listened to a boxed set before, and when one ended, I found myself eager to hear the next one.
The narrator did a tremendous job keeping the main characters’ voices straight throughout all 13 stories, while providing enough difference for the peripheral characters to keep it interesting. Joanna Roddy does a great job keeping the story moving and has a wonderful range.
Fun fact: Just when you think your listening pleasure has come to an end after book 13, along comes an extra special treat!
This boxed set is definitely worth the money (or the credit) you spend on it.
