Historia
Woodrow Wilson Nickel, age 105, feels his life ebbing away. But when he learns giraffes are going extinct, he finds himself recalling the unforgettable experience he cannot take to his grave. It’s 1938. The Great Depression lingers. Hitler is threatening Europe, and world-weary Americans long for wonder. They find it in two giraffes who miraculously survive a hurricane while crossing the Atlantic. What follows is a twelve-day road trip in a custom truck to become Southern California’s first giraffes. Behind the wheel is the young Dust Bowl rowdy Woodrow.

Wonderful story of Friendships and Adventure
Revisado: 12-03-23
Lynda wove a remarkable story of a man’s journey, Woody, started as an young orphaned man who made his adventure travelling accross the country with Mr. Jones, Augusta and the two giraffes. Each places and characters they met along the way shape Woody’s perspective on life. Such a heart-warming tale about frienships of three characters plus the giraffes and how the journey itself became a memory that Woody kept in his heart for the rest of his life. I was crying towards the ending, at the end of Woody’s writings. What a beautiful story about friendship, love, animal, and life.

Historia
Beckett: If you’re reading this, well, you know the last-letter drill. You made it. I didn’t. Get off the guilt train, because I know if there was any chance you could have saved me, you would have. I need one thing from you: get out of the army and get to Telluride. My little sister Ella’s raising the twins alone. She’s too independent and won’t accept help easily, but she has lost our grandmother, our parents, and now me. It’s too much for anyone to endure. And here’s the kicker: there’s something else you don’t know that’s tearing her family apart.

What A Roller Coaster between Love and Loss
Revisado: 11-26-23
Great storyline! Great narration! This book brought tears to my eyes. The build up on the letters, love and loss, altogether is written wonderfully.

What a great adventure of the vagabonds
Revisado: 11-19-23
I love the backdrop of the story and how it develops towards the end.
Each characters is an interesting representation of the 1930’s. The story line evolves with each situation which changes the characters’ development.
The narrator brings Odie’s personality and emotions to life.
Overall, love this new version of Huckleberry Finn and Oliver Twist combined, of the great depression.

Historia
Romance writer Penelope Banks can write the perfect love story, but when it comes to family, all she’s got is a rough draft. Penny shelved the idea of fitting in with her high-achieving family years ago, but when her new business venture—a romance bookstore—is at risk of closing before its doors have opened, she’s forced to ask for help from the one place she never expected. Home.

Great story and great narration!
Revisado: 11-06-23
What a well written, very light, humorous romance about past relationsship and family. We all have that one person as the black sheep in every thanksgiving dinner, this book captures the whole story and dynamic of most family holiday dinner.
The narration is perfectly portrayed. The text conversations between the ‘coven’ and during dinner are funny when you hear someone narrated them.
Overall, it is a great light and witty romance. Would love to read more from this author.

Historia
They say eyes are the windows to the soul—but when he looks at me through hues of slate-green and flaring blue embers, I'm terrified of what's watching me from behind his clashing gaze, something primal and feverish that threatens to melt me like fire in ice. I fear falling into Kallum Locke's pitch-black soul. But after I'm called to a crime scene to investigate the most gruesome act of violence to descend on the legendary town of Hollow's Row, I have no choice but to turn to Kallum, to the man I had locked away in an asylum for the criminally insane.

Need more Clues
Revisado: 11-01-23
The story needs more details on the crime scene, or evidences found, other than just body parts. The clues are what made the profiler character shines, which Halen is lacking.
Locke, other than being so mysterious and handsome, needs more darker substance in his character.
The narration on Halen’s can be more animated and expressive. Lockes narration fits well with the character.
Overall, it is an interesting storyline, it just needs more depth and details.

Historia
Blue Echohawk doesn't know who she is. She doesn't know her real name or when she was born. Abandoned at two and raised by a drifter, she didn't attend school until she was ten years old. At nineteen, when most kids her age are attending college or moving on with life, she is just a senior in high school. With no mother, no father, no faith, and no future, Blue Echohawk is a difficult student, to say the least.

Love the Little Blackbird
Revisado: 10-14-23
Captivating story about lost love and hope. I absolutely love the story from beginning to end, and how everything comes together at the end.
The narrator really brings you to every scenes. I am completely immersed in the story telling, changes of character’s voice and tone.
Amy Harmon knows how to weave cultures and story altogether and makes it captivating for the readers to feel each characters and every scenes. There is no dull moment of Blue as she slowly discovers herself through her journey finding her true identity and name. This one is my favorite’s book from Amy.

Historia
The first time I laid eyes on Henley James, I was mesmerized. The chemistry between us was like nothing I’d ever felt. Impeccable suit, dimpled smile. He was charming and gorgeous, sophisticated and suave. He gave me his business card and asked me to call. His dating game was strong; I was gone from his first smile. I’d love to tell you our date was a raging success, but it wasn’t. Far from it. I decided right there on that day that Henley James and I would forever be mortal enemies; I would never think of him again.

Hot and Cold
Revisado: 09-24-23
This books portrays Katy Perry’s Hot and Cold on the MC. I love most of T.L Swan’s female character where they are like the heroine of the story. However, we all have a moment where when all hope is lost, all you have is yourself to save, which is apparently the FC failed to be the heroine of this story. She fails to save herself from the situation and keeps hoping things would change ( eventhough they are eventually). But at what point will you stop counting on being let down so many times and move on? Obviously she is desperate.
CJ Bloom is a great narrator as usual but when it’s told through her voice, the FC sounded really desperate. The MC narrator can bring a little more animation to his tone. He sounded really cold, and if that is what supposed to be portrayed then he did a really good job, because there is no excitement in the MC character at all.
T.L Swan writings are unique in a way. Love the banters especially coming from the female POV. We only hope that is actually what we would say IRL which makes it hillarious. T.L knows how to make FC sounded so powerful and strong. But I guess this book she wants to have a little different take on strong and powerful. However, T.L never fails to make the hot scenes believable. You can literally imagine every details and all.
Nevertheless, would look forward for the next series. Rebecca’s character seems to be a different character to develop, regardless the playboy Blake antics behavior with women. We’ll see how the next one develops.

Story is better read not narrated
Revisado: 08-23-23
Interesting storyline, however the narrator is quite flat, leaving no emotion during the conversation.
Great character developments of Cherry and Laura. The overprotective Laura is not so innocence after all. She probably is the cause of Cherry’s mischievous behavior. In the previous relationship, Cherry did not seem to have any tendency to have a revenge towards Nicolas’ parents as much as it was towards Daniel’s mum, Laura.
I wish the narrator can animate the emotion of Daniel’s conversations rather leaving it flat and sounding like a robot.
