Good but totally secular

Overall the author has some great ideas about self-discipline and setting goals. It is just extremely secular and always with visions and goals that I feel like are not long-term sustaining. If you have any religious convictions you have to keep it in the back your mind to add that on top of everything the author says here. His main emphasis in life is to get in shape, look sexy, and to make millions of dollars. Most people understand that will not lead to long-term happiness but only short term and to failure in the end. God is the only way for true happiness and that’s a fact. So bear that in mind while reading this and you’ll be if it from it.

I read this and started immediately with cutting out the seed oils. I was athletic built to begin with and lost 15 pounds off face, neck, and waistline in two weeks! Feel like a new person. Do yourself a favor and do it!

Amazing stories of a father and daughter.

Overall the book was amazing and filled with wonderful stories about the relationship between a father and a daughter which I can relate to. So it especially touched home with me because we are outdoor people as well enjoying hunting and fishing excursions. The only drawback I would say is that being a family man and this being a perfect book to share with your children there was a quite a bit of very unnecessary foul language in it. I can definitely handle a little cussing with my children but the F word and taking God’s name in vain I do not like to put in front of them if I can avoid it. That’s just my ten cents but again overall was a great book.

Mathew Kelly is brilliant. This is a must read for anyone wanting to better there lives. Very catholic but would be good for any Christian out there as well as those non Christian that are curious. What a motivating masterpiece. Well done!

Great stories but some in very poor taste

I really enjoyed the war time stories of this book and felt that they were described very accurately. However me personally I could have done without all the stories of him cheating on his wife and all the super explicit talk about spending time with prostitutes in Vietnam. I have a great deal of respect for the man as do I any other military service veteran of the United States. Great book on war and helicopter flying under combat stress but extremely poor moral messages for any younger people reading this. I just really felt like it would’ve been an exceptionally good book without all of the crap in it.
