Another Chuck Wendig Star Wars book...

While it had some interesting nuggets of lore, the book tries to spend time with too many characters and doesn't really do any of them well. I also find it silly when Wendig tries to inject today's political issues into a galaxy far far away, which reveals a lack of understanding about how this universe works. Great narration by Marc Thompson as usual, though.

The essential novel to understanding the prequels

Luceno does a masterful job of tying the EU and prequel trilogy together. I dearly miss this kind of consistency in the star wars universe and hope that one day Lucasfilm will wisely canonize this book in thier current Star Wars book line, which has been mediocre at best.

Mark, please narrate the rest of your books! The content and selection of past works was amazing. So many of these pieces from many years ago still ring eerily true of today's political and cultural climate. The new world's going to need Mark Steyn.
