So confused

This book would have been good... I think.... if the events weren't so "jumpy". one minute you are in the present, then the past, then som random person and the present, random person obsessed by ants, the past and so on. The different names are hard to remember so half the time I didn't understand when in the story I was.

A lot and nothing at all

This book confused me more than any other book I have ever listened thru. There are a LOT of hints to characters doing bad things but they never even appeared in this book, like Arlos old lover that apparently turned super villan, died and during two insignificant events in the book was mentioned by ghosts that he wasn't done yet, but he never appeared. The main cast are trying to solv a puzzle to figure out who the phantom is, but with all the clues from Thatch; no one is the wiser... it's basically a lot going on, but at the same time nothing is happening! The phase of the book is so slow it just get annoying that the story isn't getting anywhere, it really didn't need to be this long because it's just the same repeating over and over. I was waiting for the flashback or something to explain what the Taking was all about and how Arlo became a hero, (that no one seam to know is a hero?) but no one talks about it! This felt like book 2 in a series and I'm sure if it was I would have liked it... a little bit more at least, but this just made no sense.
Kort Graves did a good job with the narrating, but since my interest wasnt in it I kept confusing the huge main cast of like 10 people!
I'm sad to say I don't recommend this book.

So I really wanted to like this one, the story isn't bad, but the narrator.... The thing is that he got a really good voice, but all the "effect" sounds he make are horrible... because he does them pretty much after every sentence! I read the other reviews and figured it couldn't be that bad, but it is...

When it started with "Three years later..." I was like: three years from what? I havnt read the book, but it was obvious that wasn't right XD
Gotten a sample from the kindle now and will be back to the audio once I'm done with that... Still annoying.

This was so bad. Really bad. It started as something with potential but as soon as Shane started to "take controll" over Roachs life and his constant "I will kill you"! and then they sleep togheter all the time, I was feeling done with this book. I did fight to actually finich this book, it took about a month, becouse I was hoping for something to get better but it only got worse! There were more questions than answers at the end and that didnt do it any favors.
I really like Kirt Graves but not even his amazing voice could make me slightly enjoy this book.

Didnt like it

I was hoping for more from this book. I found myself being annoyed that Devon was so obsessed about WW1 and it was the only thing he kept talking about. The fact that Devon and Stanley fell in love after barely one day was making me feel a bit uncomfterbell, they did just meet a couple of hours ago and believe the other were ether crazy or a ghost, yet then it was a 360 and they were madly in love? No not bying it.
I listened to all of it becouse I was hoping for it to get better but sadly it never did in my oppinion.
Greg Boudreaux was the only good thing about this book.

Its a good book and I love this narrator, Michael Ferraiuolo does a amazing job with giving each charachter there own personality and voice.
What kinda killed the book for me were the chapter names, nothing came as a suprise becouse the chapter title already told me what was gonna happen in a long sentence.

The best always come last

There were some really good stories in here, but my favoriet was by Jordan Castillo Price, with Rhys Ford a close second. Really liked the trade your soul to the Devil stories and how different they all were made this collection a fun listen.
And with Greg Tremblay narrorating, it was like a cherry on top of a sunday! Love his preformanse, he got so menny voices and dialects its a delight to listen to!

Great Sequel

I loved Snow Falling and to come back to that universe was pure joy.
I fell in love with the story and Teddy quickly found a place in my heart, his business made me smile and if he had it here I would so hire him. I have actually seen a documentary about lonely people that meet up and hug and share normal, non sexual, toutch. I think not menny realise just how menny people there is out there that are lonely. We all need a Teddy in our life. So to build this story on hugging and companionship was just brilliant. I loved the charachters, they complimented each other perfectly, and I must say I was super happy when Snow first appered. Was fun to see how he was doing after his wedding in book 1.
As I have said in menny of my reviews, I usually dont like more than one narrator, but I just love Joel Leslies and Philip Alces work. They were perfect for there charachters and I cant wait to hear more from these briliant people!
Really recommend this book!

Really good!

Im not much for books with multiple narrators, but how am I supposed to resist when 2 of my absolute favorite people do it together?
I really liked the story, both Iggy and Kirt were perfect for there charachter and I really enjoyed there performance. Thou I must say I prefered Iggy Tomain this case, he just has this way of highlighting moments with his voice and since he had more chapter than Kirt Graves I found myself suprised at times when the narrator changed.
This is probably the first dual narration I have actually not hated haha! Defenately gonna listen to it again.
