Great reader and plot twist
Revisado: 08-17-24
Wonderful reader, easy to understand and she has great transitions in her voice between characters. I thought the mystery was well planned and the twist was a surprise for me.

Historia
With her vindictive ex-husband out of prison, San Francisco medical examiner Annabelle Schwartzman is trying harder than ever to move on with her life - by focusing on her job to speak for the victims who can’t. Summoned to a homicide in Golden Gate Park, she realizes that she’d seen the victim just hours before, alive and well in a parked Jeep with a small boy. Now, the woman has been stabbed to death and stripped of her burka, and the child is nowhere to be found. Then an African American student is found dead, bearing knife wounds identical to those of the woman in the park.

Great girl time, drama, and friendships
Revisado: 11-22-23
I’m not really a “name brand”, “have to have the best” kind of girl so the lengthy descriptions of food, clothing, and expensive brands was a bit over the top for me. Otherwise, the story was wonderful, silly girl drama like real life, and some more serious content that kept me interested in the storyline and how things would turn out. It’s an easy read, good summer book.

A lighthearted summer or Christmas season read (it’s not a Christmas story) that I was delighted with. So many interesting characters, plot twists, and the writer gives you answers to all your questions by the end.

The reader made this book come to life!
Revisado: 07-15-22
The reader did such an amazing job expressively and using vocal techniques to differentiate between characters. The book is great, story is captivating right up to the last sentence. I’m thrilled it was made into a movie but haven’t seen that yet.

Reads like a biography, was looking for a novel
Revisado: 11-03-19
I saw the movie first . . . don't do that! I wanted to hear the real story behind the movie but was disappointed that the book was more of a biography style of writing. I was hoping it would read like a novel. Also, the book didn't tell much about Philippe Pozzo di Borgo, it was almost all about Abdel Sellou.
