I was hoping this book would never end
Revisado: 07-28-21
I loved this book! Normally when I’m listening to a book, I’ll periodically look to see how much time is left so I can queue up the next one. I didn’t do that with Finding Mrs. Ford, because I didn’t want it to end. I kept secretly hoping it would go on forever!!

very slow start
Revisado: 07-24-21
I seriously considered not listening to this book all the way through, like, I was ready to give up 10 minutes in. But I stuck it out and it got much better. A very slow start. I will say that some parts of this book might be disturbing and a trigger for sexual abuse survivors, so please be aware.
One thing that was extremely annoying for me was the narrator. I had to continually, throughout the book, keep adjusting the volume. Frequently the narrator would speak so softly, that I would have to turn the volume way up, then three seconds later she’d raise her voice and scare the crap out of me.
The ending seemed to just kind of drop off too, not might disappointing.

Very enjoyable
Revisado: 12-02-20
I enjoyed this book very much. The storyline was good and the twists and turns, all believable. The narration got a little annoying at times but definitely not enough to take your attention away from the story. I highly recommend for an enjoyable read.

Too dramatic
Revisado: 09-21-20
Because the stories intertwine, sometimes it can be confusing as to which character’s story you’re listening to. The narrator for Beth is so over dramatic it’s annoying. Some of the details are completely unbelievable. Not to spoil anything but, I’m pretty sure the excuse used for a missing gun wouldn’t fly with the police.

love the multiple plot layers
Revisado: 05-17-20
This is my second Diane Chamberlain book and I enjoyed it just as much as the first. Both books seem very unassuming, meaning they’re down to earth and not showy. The storylines are tame but hold your interest because they’re written so well but the plot layers are what will keep you coming back for more of this author.

Definitely not one of my favorites from this author. I guess there really is such a thing as too much detail.
