Delightful in every respect, from the beautiful meandering story, to Edinburgh, always a featured character in these books, to the superb narration by Mr. McKenzie. These characters have become old friends, and I can't wait for the next installment of 44 Scotland St.

I am one of Mr. McCall Smith's biggest fans. I was not sure what to make of this book, though, but I need not have been concerned. It is lovely, as are all of his offerings, and the narrator has done a superb job.

I am hoping that there will be a sequel. I have come to care about the characters in this book as I have many his other books. I do not want to say goodbye to them yet.

The only thing that could improve the dead tree version of this book, which I already own, is to hear it narrated by its author. Thank you, Mr. Sedaris.

Another delightful offering from Mr. McCall Smith, beautifully narrated by Mr. Rintoul. As with the other books in the series, the mysteries themselves take a backseat to the personalities of the recurring characters, who are quick to become old friends to fans of the series.

Mr. McCall Smith has created another gem. These little stories will make you smile and occasionally laugh out loud. Love and kindness prevail, which is just the balm our souls need in these tumultuous times. Bravo, sir, and thank you.

Mr. McCall Smith has given us another delightful story of our old friends Mma Ramotswe and her family, friends, and colleagues. Ms. Amato, the narrator, is superb, and does the characters justice With her gentle and nuanced voice, as did Lisette Lecat before her. I would strongly suggest that the first-time reader begin at the first book in the series in order to fully understand and appreciate this most current, but hopefully, not the final, book in the series.

Let me begin by saying that a mediocre book by Craig Johnson is still better than the best novel of most authors of the same genre out there.

The book contains two intertwining stories, 45 years apart. One is resolved, but the other is not. A cliffhanger is one thing on a television show, but in a novel, I find it to be, well, sort of cheating. I did not expect to have to wait for another book to have to purchase in order to receive the resolution I look for and expect in a novel. I love the Longmire series of books. I have read them all and will read all of the others that follow, but this sort of seems like a cheap shot to guarantee sales. I expected better from Mr. Johnson and his publisher.

Would you listen to The Liberal Redneck Manifesto again? Why?

I will listen to this book again and again because it is written by three intelligent, insightful men who combine down-home, screamingly hilarious humor with the reality of the South. There are some ugly realities, but there are more instances of people who are wise, loving, authentic, hard workers, who often make the best of difficult economic times and generations of oppression--of white folks as well as black. If ever there was a book written to humanize and redeem a group of folks who have been the butt of merciless joking, this is it. This book is narrated by the three authors, which, for me, is as important a component of the book as the text. It is a delight.

What was one of the most memorable moments of The Liberal Redneck Manifesto?

It's tough to choose one, but I'd have to say that it is the Liberal Redneck's Country Music Playlist in Chapter 6. There are too many others to list here.

Which character – as performed by the narrators – was your favorite?

I don't know if I have a favorite. Each narrator brings his own personality, shaped by his upbringing and geographical location.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

Skeeeeeeeeeeew!!

Any additional comments?

This is an important book for Northerners to read to gain some knowledge about our neighbors in the South. Plus, it's funny as hell.
