Historia
A woman describes a series of encounters she has with various people in the ordinary course of her life: an ex she runs into by chance at a public forum, an Airbnb owner unsure how to interact with her guests, a stranger who seeks help comforting his elderly mother, a friend of her youth now hospitalized with terminal cancer. In each of these people, the woman finds a common need: the urge to talk about themselves and to have an audience to their experiences.

Astronomically over use of word “said”……. More specifically “she said”
Revisado: 02-12-25
Interesting story but I could not finish listening due to the abhorrent over use of “said”…. Why not, whispered, pleaded, sighed, exclaimed, whimpered, exclaimed, replied, ect.? ……so many other options. The lack of variety ruined the story.

Historia
Brooke Shields has spent a lifetime in the public eye. Growing up as a child actor and model, her every feature was scrutinized, her every decision judged. Today Brooke faces a different kind of scrutiny: that of being a “woman of a certain age.” And yet, for Brooke, the passage of time has brought freedom. At fifty-nine, she feels more comfortable in her skin, more empowered and confident than she did decades ago in those famous Calvin Kleins. Now, in Brooke Shields Is Not Allowed to Get Old, she’s changing the narrative about women and aging.

Honest and refreshing
Revisado: 01-24-25
I loved the audio was in her voice and she spoke openly about subjects often avoided. Aging isn’t the end, it is an exciting new yet starkly different adventure!

Very interesting construct
Revisado: 04-09-24
I found this story interesting and didn’t get bored or lose interest. The voices added to the quality. It was a mystery/ sci fi/ love story all in one. It would make a great tv series which I would watch!
