Great story
Revisado: 07-06-24
I have been looking for a good story and characters I can get behind. With so many bad fmc lately I really needed this. Ali also did such a great job bringing this story to life… now off to book 3

This was one of those books that I couldn’t put down but it was not great. I don’t know why I kept reading as I reallllly disliked Isolde, maybe it was Adrian as I loved him. She annoyed the piss out of me, I hate u, wait I’m jealous, don’t touch me, you didn’t come to my room… is this chick for real? Oh and it’s legit cringy smut vampire erotica- so be prepared

Historia
Meet Ove. He’s a curmudgeon—the kind of man who points at people he dislikes as if they were burglars caught outside his bedroom window. He has staunch principles, strict routines, and a short fuse. But behind the cranky exterior there is a story and a sadness. So when one November morning a chatty young couple with two chatty young daughters move in next door and accidentally flatten Ove’s mailbox, it is the lead-in to a comical and heartwarming tale of unkempt cats, unexpected friendship, and the ancient art of backing up a U-Haul.

My favorite book to date
Revisado: 04-28-21
I don't write reviews often but feel I need to write one now. This book was fantastic, it was funny, emotional, and just all around good. I laughed from the opening sentence till the end and I grew to love and felt as I knew the characters personally. I will miss this book and the characters as it will stick with me. Fredrik Backman did a wonderful job!

Great Read!
Revisado: 12-18-19
I don't typically write reviews and I must say I very much enjoyed this book. I enjoyed learning about places I have never heard of and I loved the story of the two main characters. However, my one upset of this story is it opens with bait, you want to read to the end so you can finally see what happens and then when you get there, you learn about them both, it just ends. You get no closure and maybe I should just use my imagination but to be so hopeful for so much more for it to just end, that was disappointing for me anyways. With that said, I still suggest this book as a must read.

Great story
Revisado: 08-27-19
I loved the story plot of this book and I was able to relate to some of the characters which I loved. The only thing I disliked about the book was the authors use of "he said" "she said" "I said" it was so overused it got annoying, as a reader and listener we can pick up on who is talking within the story and I think her telling us who it was, was just too much IMO.
