Important Book for all Women
Revisado: 04-16-25
I purchased this book for the help of finding my authentic voice. The book includes voice warm ups and exercises to strengthen and develop your own vocal power. It also gives an education on why women have lost their power of voice in the first place. I come away from this book a smarter, stronger woman with more knowledge of our history and I am sure my voice will now follow. Thank you Patsy Rodenburg for this book of truth and guide for those of us who have been searching for our authentic voice. I love this book.

Historia
Many famed music producers are known for a particular sound that has its day. Rick Rubin is known for something else: creating a space where artists of all different genres and traditions can home in on who they really are and what they really offer. He has made a practice of helping people transcend their self-imposed expectations in order to reconnect with a state of innocence from which the surprising becomes inevitable. Over the years, he has learned that being an artist isn’t about your specific output, it’s about your relationship to the world.

Revisado: 10-08-24
Loved this book so much! It was full of artistic insight, great story telling, and truths you recognize in your soul.
Rick Rubin creates A-ha moments that make you want to start creating immediately! It’s like a license to own yourself in the most artistic way with out apology. Empowering and technically interesting. This book is deeply useful for art and life.

This is my story, from a crumbling apartment in Central Falls, Rhode Island, to the stage in New York City, and beyond. This is the path I took to finding my purpose but also my voice in a world that didn’t always see me.

Maybe the best book I have ever experienced.
Revisado: 05-19-24
When I say maybe the best book I have ever experienced, I mean that. It’s an experience. I laughed and cried, mostly cried. I healed, learned, discovered.
Your story Viola touched my soul and offered healing to me. You spoke to my soul, and my mind, and the little girl in me that went through so much unhealed trauma. From the first chapter you had me, and by the last chapter I loved you. And I think I love myself more too.
Your story is a healer/teacher.
I am so proud of you. And so happy that you found your way. What an incredible journey, and inspiration.
Thank you for sharing your beautiful story. It will touch many souls. I know it touched mine.
With all my heart, Thank you
