Once I start a series, I try to always finish it but there were moments with this one when I thought about quitting. Lexie’s voice took some getting used to, she sounds like she’s 37 not 27. She did end up being a favorite character. April’s character was a bit much for me, too submissive, she follows Trevor around like a puppy dog, not a fan of her whiny voice either. Reno’s obsession with her was just weird. He’s literally an old soul and she’s child like, even throws a tantrum like a child. I enjoyed Izzy and Jericho’s character’s the most and their storyline.

4th book is beyond frustrating!

I'm still part way into the forth book and I cannot decide if I want to keep reading this ridiculousness lol. One of the main characters, Rain, is all over the place. One minute she's weak and more or less helpless and the next she's strong and somewhat of a leader. I loathe her. I'm not sure how two of the men are even still alive. This group has literally been expecting a few locals in this small town to help keep them alive. When they had an option of somewhere else to go. Not only did they jeopardize the lives of others but theyve now gotten them killed with their, yes, stupidity. Just kill them all! Lol. I'll update once I finish this mess.

Finished in a week! I need the next book!

I am always looking for a good book to distract me from my, at times, overwhelming life lol. I rarely find books I love, I loved this book. This was the book I needed and I cannot wait for the next! I listened while at work, driving in the car, while making my lil tribe dinner. Everyone's complaining about the narration, I enjoyed it. Have I heard better, of course. Have I heard worse, too many times to count. I personally felt they did a really good job. It in no way affects the amazing storyline. Not once did I get tired of listening. The ending was such a surprise. How will Violet respond? What will happen between her and Zaiden? I'm heartbroken over Liam. I hope Dane gets his butt kicked. I need to know what's going to happen next!? Thank God the next book comes out Nov 7th, lol. I've already pre-ordered it.

One of my favorites of Charlie's!

I've always been a fan of Charlie's work but when I read the description, it didn't really interest me. Trolls just didn't sound like a good read. The price was what got me lol. I loved it and I cannot wait for the next! And there has to be a next! Where will they go, who will accept them, will his sister come find them?!? These are questions I need to know. Lol

Definitely worth the listen. Really enjoyed the characters, narrator did a great job. It should be listed as young adult though.

Very good series

What made the experience of listening to Mad World the most enjoyable?

Very good series, she tells the story step by step so you don't feel like your missing anything! However I did not care for the narrators voice that did Axl in this one! He's suppose to be a guy in his 20's but sounds like a man that's probably in his 40's. Nothing youthful in his voice. I definitely preferred the lady who did all the narrating in the 1st two! Even with that said, still worth buying it!

Any additional comments?

Currently on the 4th book and super sad that there is no audible for this one or the last 3! Probably wouldn't have bought the audible versions for any of them and just read the books! I like to listen to a book while I do laundry, clean the house, cook dinner, drive etc. and that was a bummer that I can't finish the series that way!
