Historia
Meet Dexter Morgan, a polite wolf in sheep’s clothing. He’s handsome and charming, but something in his past has made him abide by a different set of rules. He’s a serial killer whose one golden rule makes him immensely likable: he only kills bad people.

I actually like the show better.
Revisado: 02-01-25
A lot of filler in the book. I like the TV show better, which I know makes me sound like a dumb American, but the filler didn’t really help the story.

This paradigm-shifting book complements The After Party Project--a six-part, video-based, highly interactive curriculum that provides churches, small groups, and individuals with an on-the-ground, biblically based approach to a very complex topic.

Historia
Four decades after it first shook the nation, then the world, William Peter Blatty's thrilling masterwork of faith and demonic possession returns in an even more powerful form. Raw and profane, shocking and blood-chilling, it remains a modern parable of good and evil and perhaps the most terrifying novel ever written.

Wow! The author is a better performer than most other audio books!
Revisado: 11-16-23
The book is great. Follows the movie pretty closely and is perfectly paced. The shocker here is that William Blatty is INCREDIBLE. The voices he does for each character are unique, he doesn’t over do it, and his voice of the demon is haunting! It’s so sad that we lost him just a few years ago. I can’t recommend this enough.

Historia
Winter is coming. Such is the stern motto of House Stark, the northernmost of the fiefdoms that owe allegiance to King Robert Baratheon in far-off King's Landing. There Eddard Stark of Winterfell rules in Robert's name. Far to the north, behind the towering Wall, lie savage Wildings and worse - unnatural things relegated to myth during the centuries-long summer, but proving all too real and all too deadly in the turning of the season. Yet a more immediate threat lurks to the south, where Jon Arryn, the Hand of the King, has died under mysterious circumstances....

AMAZING Performance
Revisado: 01-28-23
This is a performance worthy of an Oscar. It is just incredible. I couldn’t get into the book at all. However, I was able to be immersed in everything wonderfully with this reading.
A few people told me if I saw the series, I could skip this book and go on into book two or even three, because after that I’m told things become quite different. I was stubborn and wanted to be a completist. I’m here to tell you you can definitely skip this book if you want as long as you saw the show. It’s a bit like trudging through the mud, but I see the purpose. You have to set this pace up so you can release the kraken later on so to speak.
On to book 2!

Historia
James Keene had it all: cars, girls, houses up and down the Gold Coast. But behind his well-connected star athlete façade was a money-obsessed drug dealer desperate to make the big score to get him out of the business. When he was sentenced to prison, it seemed the only lessons he would learn would be about navigating convict society. Instead, he was offered a chance to regain his freedom in return for going undercover in the nation’s highest security prison for the criminally insane.

Best audiobook I’ve encountered so far.
Revisado: 09-26-22
I read the graphic novel about ten years ago and loved it. This just brings it to life in a new way that is entertaining, exciting, and extremely moving at times. This was the first time I cried listening to an audiobook. The performances are expert and since Gaiman (the author) was the narrator, he obviously took care to get the scripts the way he wanted them. If The Sandman on Netflix is a ten out of ten, this is a twenty. I don’t have much time to read these days, so to have a way to listen to a comic in the car is amazing. Time for Act II!!! And Gaiman said on Twitter that Act III is fully recorded!!
Now who’s up for Watchman or The Return of the Dark Knight in this format????? MEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!

Historia
It seems just about everyone in Hollywood had a reason to want Steve Peterman dead. But how someone managed to put a knife in his back on a live broadcast without being seen is anyone's guess. Unfortunately for Fletch, his girlfriend, Moxie Mooney, a huge star at the box office, is also the number-one suspect. With the police asking way too many questions, Fletch whisks Moxie and her drunken father off to Key West for a little privacy. But before he can even check out the beach, the rest of the suspects decide to check in.

Least Favorite Fletch Book So Far, but it Does Keep You Guessing
Revisado: 07-25-22
This is the fifth book in the Fletch series and definitely my least favorite so far. The middle just drags on and on. However, it does keep you wondering who the real killer is the whole time. My biggest problem is that when we finally find out, we don’t really care. If you’re a completist like me, you’ll find some amusing things, but if not, feel free to skip it. What one cannot ignore though is that Dan Jon Miller is a genius narrator; I truly wish all books were read by him.

Historia
Young Fletch is less than pleased to be writing a business story, something that's well outside his field of expertise. Eager to get back out on the streets, he quickly compiles what he thinks is a well-executed article, complete with quotes from the chairman of the board's recent memos. But when he fails to do his due diligence when researching the company and its associates, he finds himself in hot water...and now out of a job. The chairman has been dead for more than a year.

Revisado: 07-14-22
Obviously very forward thinking for it’s time, but slightly dated - you’ll see what I mean. However, Dan John Miller could read me the phone book and I’d still be entertained. He’s an amazing narrator and I wish all books could be read to me by him.
