Historia
Charley sees dead people. That's right, she sees dead people. And it's her job to convince them to "go into the light." But when these very dead people have died under less than ideal circumstances (i.e., murder), sometimes they want Charley to bring the bad guys to justice. Complicating matters are the intensely hot dreams she's been having about an Entity who has been following her all her life...and it turns out he might not be dead after all. In fact, he might be something else entirely.

Can't stop listening to it!
Revisado: 05-12-14
What did you love best about Gentle Rogue?
How the story developed, not to mention how each character is very "3-D"!

My favorite moment was when James confronts Georgie in front of her family.
What about Laural Merlington’s performance did you like?
How she changes her voice for each character, trying to give each their own tone.
If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?
The adventure that never stops!
Any additional comments?
I love to curl up with this book very so often. When I need a good laugh with a romantic twist.

Historia
Picking up from A Discovery of Witches' cliff-hanger ending, Shadow of Night takes reluctant witch Diana Bishop and vampire geneticist Matthew Clairmont on a trip through time to Elizabethan London, where they are plunged into a world of spies, magic, and a coterie of Matthew's old friends, the School of Night. As the search for Ashmole 782—the lost and enchanted manuscript whose mystery first pulled Diana and Matthew into one another's orbit—deepens and Diana seeks out a witch to tutor her in magic, the net of Matthew's past tightens around them.

Can not get enough!
Revisado: 12-09-13
Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?
Yes, because the story is so deep and well thought out. There are some things you never see coming. It has a bit of everything; romance, mystery and suspense! You can not get bored reading this!
What other book might you compare Shadow of Night to and why?
Honestly, I can not think of one. Except for The Discovery of Witches. Which is the first book in this series. It stands alone.
What about Jennifer Ikeda’s performance did you like?
The way she gave life to each one of the character's voice/mannerism.

Loving it!
Revisado: 12-09-13
If you could sum up A Discovery of Witches in three words, what would they be?
Captivating, Intriguing, Heartfelt
Who was your favorite character and why?
Honestly, all of them! They each are unique and have their own quirks!
What does Jennifer Ikeda bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
The accents, though you do try to imagine it. She captures it perfectly!
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
Yes! It was very frustrating, because I usually only listen to audio books while I am working. At the end of the work day, I didn't want to stop!
Any additional comments?
I can not wait to finish this series! Within moments you are lost in this world and you do not want to leave!
