Ivy has downsized so much staff that her boss calls her “the grim reaper” of HR, but it’s the only job she’s known. It would take something huge to make her leave that behind.

Fun Story and Narration
Revisado: 01-28-24
Loved the story. It was suspenseful and funny by turns. The narrator brought all the characters to life, and I could visualize each character individually. The story had just the right descriptors to paint each scene.

Historia
Tiffy and Leon share an apartment. Tiffy and Leon have never met. After a bad breakup, Tiffy Moore needs a place to live. Fast. And cheap. But the apartments in her budget have her wondering if astonishingly colored mold on the walls counts as art. Desperation makes her open minded, so she answers an ad for a flatshare. Leon, a night shift worker, will take the apartment during the day, and Tiffy can have it nights and weekends. He'll only ever be there when she's at the office. In fact, they'll never even have to meet.

Overcoming Adversity with a Side Dish of Humor
Revisado: 01-23-24
I listened to this book on audio because O’Leary uses talented actors who bring her books to life, and let’s face it, English humor is sometimes lost on me without cultural context.
I enjoyed everything about this book, and I don’t even care that it seems like a bit was stolen from both Bridget Jones and The Holiday. With the dual voices and the wonderfully hilarious notes the two characters traded, I was hooked.
I also enjoyed this book because it was partly about overcoming adversity. The crazy bouncing back and forth and self-doubt that occurs from trying to heal from an emotionally abusive relationship and learning how to be yourself again. As well as the fear to hope when there’s a life on the line. The primary characters were well-developed and the secondary characters complimented them nicely. Beth O’Leary is fast becoming a favorite with me.

Engaging Cozy Mystery with Great Narration
Revisado: 01-08-24
This thoroughly enjoyable story had me alternating between laughter and edge-of-my-seat suspense. Between Jennifer Stoneking’s narration and Ellen Riggs’ writing, I felt I was watching a movie in my head. Each character was easily believable and distinctive. Love Ivy and Keats, and can’t wait to continue the series.

Harry is called to help Bigfoot’s son out of several life threatening situations as the boy grows to manhood. These stories were fast-moving fun. Loved them.
