In short, a long lamentation we can't all be more like Native Americans, working "peacefully" in "small" groups without the need for "private property."
The ENTIRE premise infects this ridiculous BOOK STOP of a book (were it print).
If you aren't a believer in the American experiment, you'll love it. If you are a mile wide and an inch deep, you'll love it. If you lack the ability to extrapolate even a little, you'll love it.

Straight to the Point!
Revisado: 12-05-21
So grateful for the QUALITY of this podcast. Aside from its fascinating topic, the authorship question, it’s cleanly produced. There are other podcasts on this or related subjects I simply can’t tolerate they are so top heavy with boilerplate, pleas for cash or reviews, ads, or horrible audio. Steven hosts a sparkling hour of smart talk. I can’t recommend it highly enough especially if you are an Oxfordian brave enough to contemplate the Prince Tudor Theory.

Now, Woodward tells the story of his long, complex relationship with W. Mark Felt, the enigmatic No. 2 man in the Federal Bureau of Investigation who helped end the presidency of Richard Nixon.

A chance meeting and then... history.
Revisado: 08-06-18
I never knew Navy Lieutenant Bob Woodward first met Mark Felt by chance in the waiting room outside the Oval Office! I also never knew Felt & Reagan's paths intersected but I won't say how because I don't want to ruin the story.
The narrator's voice & style are just marvelous. Very, very listenable.
The story itself is FASCINATING! I was just a young girl when Watergate happened so I don't remember anything but Nixon resigning. I can still smell the rug and remember it was really humid that day. But what I know about the episode came from the movie & subsequent reading.
HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

Historia
When recently retired DHS frontline officer and intelligence expert Philip Haney bravely tried to say something about the people and organizations that threatened the nation, his intelligence information was eliminated, and he was investigated by the very agency assigned to protect the country. The national campaign by the DHS to raise public awareness of terrorism and terrorism-related crime known as If You See Something, Say Something effectively has become If You See Something, Say Nothing.

Geek out and be OUTRAGED
Revisado: 03-03-17
If you could sum up See Something Say Nothing in three words, what would they be?
PC kills.
What was the most compelling aspect of this narrative?
The galling subversion of our security by the Obama administration.
Which scene was your favorite?
I think when the author ____ his gun test. Not because it was the most compelling plot point but because it was just so human. (I don't want to blow it!)
Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
It made me FURIOUS. This book should have led to charges. Of the most grave kind.
Any additional comments?
Be prepared to geek out. The author is very meticulous in detailing acronyms to establish a threshold of credibility by reciting his credentials, but just deal with it. The story is amazing.

Was What's My Line TV star, media icon, and crack investigative reporter and journalist Dorothy Kilgallen murdered for writing a tell-all book about the JFK assassination? If so, is the main suspect in her death still at large? These questions and more are answered in former CNN, ESPN, and USA Today legal analyst Mark Shaw's 25th book, The Reporter Who Knew Too Much.

Absolutely FASCINATING!
Revisado: 03-03-17
What made the experience of listening to The Reporter Who Knew Too Much the most enjoyable?
This true life story reads like a cold war spy novel... cuz it kinda is! Sparkling 1950's Manhattan society set piece, with all the ingredients, sex, booze, media, conspiracy theories. Marvelous stuff. And the author makes a deeply compelling case that Ms. Kilgallen was indeed murdered, and quite possibly for what she knew, or some thread of what she knew.
What was the most compelling aspect of this narrative?
The author pulls you into her world and into a compelling plot with ease.

Historia
Three and a half years ago, David Sanger’s book The Inheritance: The World Obama Confronts and the Challenges to American Power described how a new American president came to office with the world on fire. Now, just as the 2012 presidential election battle begins, Sanger follows up with an eye-opening, news-packed account of how Obama has dealt with those challenges, relying on innovative weapons and reconfigured tools of American power to try to manage a series of new threats.

Surprisingly FAIR. And LOTS of inside tidbits.
Revisado: 03-03-17
Would you listen to Confront and Conceal again? Why?
Sanger is a NYT columnist but left his lefty credentials (mostly) at the door with this book. Quite apart from the excellent narration and gifted story-telling of the author, the book is a very fair, comprehensive assessment of Obama foreign policy. Which is to say, it tells, in the most gentle way possible, how ruinous it was. And amateur. And cowardly. He lays out the almost incomprehensible idiocy of it with the most gentle strokes. I am a never-Trump conservative and even I enjoyed it, and highly recommend it. Well done, Mr. Sanger.
