If you love the word "existential"...

Nuclear war- bad, pandemics- bad, global warming- bad, genocidal artificial intelligence- bad: you get the idea. This author, Toby Ord, must be a real drag to hang out with. I care about happens to the whole of humanity in a hundred years a bit..., in theory. The author has a level of concern for what happens to hypothetical people a billion years from now that I think indicates a level of mental illness on his part. I think this book is pretty unimaginative, and not terribly informative.
If you want a real existential threat, take a shot every time you hear the word "existential"; you wont make it through the first hour.

Just a liberal insider's point of view. This book could have also been called "Conservatives are unreasonable because they disagree with Democrats". Oh well, at least it was free. Is Amazon pushing this point of view, or did they just realize this book wasn't worth a credit?

I don't think I have ever had a series I have not gotten sick of after about 4 or 5 books, but destroyer men is still awesome. Read the first book, if you like it, keep going, you will like the rest too. Also, best narrator in the business, perfect for this series. Enjoy

That is how I feel every time I start a new series, I got sucked in. The difference is, with this series it is worth it. I love historical fiction, alternate universes, and military books, and so I love the Destroyermen series too. The next best thing to the story is William Dufris, the narrator. William Dufris is the best narrator on Audible. Every time I listen to a book narrated by Dufris, I have to ask myself "Is this a good book? Or did the narrator make this a good book?" In the case of the Destroyermen series, the books are great, and the narrator is awesome. Usually by the end of a long series, I hate myself for wanting to know how the story ends and buying the next book, but so far, each book of this series is as good as the last. Enjoy.

Monster Hunters is a fun and enjoyable book. This book is not real complicated, and it does not require a ton of thinking but it is still really entertaining. As a big guy myself, I found the description of Owen(the main character) to be spot on. Also, as a gun guy too, I found the author to be very knowledgeable and accurate in his firearm references. Give this book a chance, you will be hooked.

I really enjoy Larry Correia, and you probably do too if you are on the fourth book of the series. The Monster Hunter series does not not take a huge amount of brain power to enjoy, but these books are well written. I think this book stands up as well as any in this series. The narration is also excellent. Thanks Mr. Correia, and I cant wait till the next book.

Poor substitute for Stephen King

I have read the Robert McMammon hates being called a "poor man's Stephen King", but I think that is probably the best description. Don't get me wrong, Swan Song is not a terrible use of credits- I like long books, you know, get the most for my money and all. The author's writing style is not terrible, but somewhat "simple" and predictable. If you have not read "The Stand" yet, read this book first, that way you will be less disappointed with Swan Song. If you enjoy post-apocalyptic books and long books, Swan Song is not a terrible use of credits, but far from the best.

A lot of old stuff, but fairly enjoyable. I basically expected Mr Stephenson speaking with the reader about things, but the book was interviews/ articles with a few short stories thrown in between. The short stories were actually quite good. Ive purchased short stories from other authors I have enjoyed and found them to be dreadful, with no question in my mind as to why the stories were not made into novels. I find myself wishing this book was more- without regretting my use of a credit on it. By the way, I am fascinated with the treadmill desk, and am planning on giving it a try.

A good Alamo history

I am a huge fan of most military history. I am not from Texas, and the only Texas revolution and Alamo history I knew were from a brief bit in high school history. This book gives a lead up history to the battle, and tells a bit about the personal history of some of the more famous participants. The book also tells what happened after the siege of the Alamo and how the revolution all worked out.
The authors writing is pretty good and fairly easy to get through, however he does repeat himself in at least 3 or 4 separate instances. I think the book could have went through a little more editing.
All in all, Blood of Heroes is a good Alamo history, and a fairly entertaining read.

David Crockett is a truly fascinating character, I wish we had politicians like him today.

Great book, interesting format

I love zombie books, and Day By Day Armageddon is the best one Ive read so far. Feels much more "real" than most other zombie books. It is written in a different format- all individual journal entrys. At first I thought it was a tad disjointed, but I really came to like it. The book does really leave off in the middle of the story (certainty waiting for a sequel) - but didn't leave me feeling dissatisfied as many books awaiting a sequel do.
